BEST. EPISODE. EVAR.

Yes! :D

Lyra TALKING

That was pretty amazing, but like Bon Bon she'll have like three voices eventually.

Also, Vinyl Scratch's eyes. We finally see them! :D

And they're lavender ie "close enough" :D

adorable and terrifying at the same time!

The Queen was amazing and adorable in both forms, definitely a great villain, I hope we see her again.

Poor Celestia. The changelings have a queen, but she'll never be more than a princess. :(

True but then their Queen isn't a goddess descedent of the creators of their world.

Yeah, Cadance grew on me very quickly, as did Shining Armor.

I know, it felt like they'd been there all along, really teared up when we saw Shining Armour seeing Twilight off on the chariot from the pilot.

Here's an idea, that occurred to me, and, later I found out, other people on the web

The Changeling queen kept Cadence alive, and deliberately made Twilight despise Cadence before finally whipping her up into a frenzy, and blasting her way to Cadence's cave prison because she intended an enraged, vengeful Twilight to murder the real Cadence

What do you think?

I think it's very possible. Nearly anyone can kill if the provocation is big enough. But thankfully, Twi wasn't in complete kill mode. I'm not sure she's capable, but then we've only seen her in Twilamena mode...

Considering she was about to let an entire race loose on the Ponies to drain them to mental vegetables and eventual brain death, probably.

Yeah, that's how I interpreted the scene. Twilight was fighting mad and more than willing to do Cadance harm right until Cadance did her old babysitting chant - which they made a point in part 1 out of the changeling impostor not knowing about.

I'm still just trying to process all the little moments, so many homages to other episodes, so many new things.

How many people caught DJ-Pon-3 lifting her glasses, with Luna head banging to the music for a good 10 seconds besides Tia?

The whole thing was made of win.

I can understand the Mane Six interpreting "Cadence's" attitude problems as pre-wedding jitters, but why the hell did no one else (read Celestia) pick up on the fact that Cadence apparently suffered a radical personality change overnight. Or that her bridesmaids mysteriously went AWOHL and had to be replaced by the Mane Six.

I think because Celestia was expecting an outside threat, not someone on the inside who had already infiltrated Canterlot. For all we know, Cadance could have been replaced for a week or better, and she seemed to have the ability to fool everyone just enough to offset any suspicions. Twilight was suspicious because she spent the most time with Cadance due to Cadance being her foal sitter.

Apart from a few royal fans, it seems most people cower from the Alicorns and don't question them, Cadence was a mortal one who grew up with them but still, a Princess is a Princess, a failing we've seen a few times from the Ponies.

Can you do anything else but love a My Little Pony-wedding?

Cannibalisitic-parasite ponies that seems to be a cross between the Borg and the Dominion, zombie-ponies, energy-shields, laser-weapons and last but not least, Weapons of Mass Destruction made out of True Love...

That's true, but then again, Equestria seems to be a world that almost completely lacks cynicism. It's natural for the ponies to trust someone until shown otherwise.

Well, Celestia's long since relaxed in her position of power. Now Luna's got to do the same. :D

Such a little thing but it's added so much to her character, odd that. It's sweet too, might try and draw something for it later.

I'd like to see some Celestia/Luna stories in Season 3. We don't get to see much of their perspective on things. I know it's often about one of or all of the Mane Six, but let this just be a day in the life of Luna and Celestia.

If they did an actualy episode along the lines of "Luna's Lament" that would be awesome, with "Luna's general work day" elements thrown in for fun.
