One of the rarest events in the history of baseball occurred last night, and it gets nary a mention!

The Diamondbacks became only the seventh team in MLB history to hit four consecutive home runs in the same inning!

Santana comes through for Mets today...nice shutout. Lucky to avoid rain too. :)

Only bad thing was that the ballpark was loaded with kids' tour groups, all of whom apparently want to go to the concession stands at the SAME TIME. :brickwall:

Unless you were there, who cares?

I can't decide if that was an amazing baseball feat or a televised hate crime against the Brewers.

The Braves just might be OK with Brooks Conrad in and Chipper out. Time after time that dude is clutch at the plate. *fingers crossed*

Some explain to me why teams are constantly wearing throwback uniforms. For a special event is alright, but it seems like at least four games a month, they got some uniform from 30 years ago on.

Way to go R.A. Dickey! :techman:

Would have been nice if the idiot umpires hadn't made such a monumentally bad call on Mike Hessman's HOME RUN. The ball hits the outfield wall, and they rule fan interference? :wtf: I was there, I saw it, all the fans and SNY commentators saw it, the ball was completely untouched when it hit the wall. :brickwall:

No TV coverage today, the local Giants TV affiliate (KRVU 21) has it preempted for Smack Down.

Fortunately there's ESPN radio, translating the signal from KNBR.

Of all the things baseball to worry about....:guffaw:

I'm aware the Brewers do that on Sundays, who else is doing it too often for you?

It's not like it's the bane of my baseball watching existence, it just seems like the novelty has worn off. Like if you are honoring a team or an era, sure, wear the uniform. But why do it just for the hell of it?

Agreed. It's gotten to the point where I don't even pay attention to why (assuming there's a reason) they're wearing the throwback uniforms. And it's not just baseball- the throwback uniform trend has gone overboard in just about every sport.

The Yankees need to pull their shit together. It's been one step forward, two steps back these past couple of weeks. Enough of that.
