Amazing rotation...somebody called it R2C2. (Roy-Roy-Cole-Cliff).

And, yeah, we could really use another righty hitter. That's definitely our biggest weakness (and the bench) in the upcoming season.

I hope that sticks

I'm not angry. Yet. I would have of course preferred to have the Yankees sign Lee, but it's a long offseason yet to go.
I just hope that Pettitte can be persuaded to return. Lord knows they need the starting pitching.
The Yankees are an ongoing example of why MLB needs a salary cap.
Vinny Testaverde. So who are the Yankees gonna throw $20 million a year at in desperation and destroy the market even more than the Nationals have? Ben Sheets? Kevin Millwood? Jeremy Bonderman? Jeff Francis?![]()

The players' union would never agree, of course. Remember '94?
I love how the Media is already proclaiming a Phillies/Red Sox world series. That's pretty much what happens every year at this time right?
Fine, so Philly got Cliff Lee. Big Deal. Time to show it on the field and the Giants are the raining MLB Champs. I'm not saying they're going to repeat, I'm just saying anything is possible and just because you sign a big name pitcher, it doesn't mean a damn thing until the season starts and then it's anybody's guess.

Oh you're the defending champs, that's fine. No one should say otherwise. It's like the year after the Phillies won. I think people were expecting a Mets comeback and a half dozen other things. Phillies really weren't given that much credit, after all, they beat the Rays. Now the Rays are actually considered a solid team and the Phils are often considered the favorites. But this is just on paper. The Giants are the current champions and it does no good to pretend otherwise.
Phillies offense though. Rollins will get injured and we lost Werth.
