MLB 2025: The A's are Playing Where Now?

Wow.

The Dodgers can certainly win two in a row, but you gotta love the Jays' energy. How fun!

I have a good friend who is a die-hard Dodgers fan. I'm sure he's unhappy.

The next Nationals coach is Blake Butera, age 33, the senior player development director for the Rays. He also has four seasons of minor league managing with four first place finishes and two titles, his first season when he was only 25.

That Billion Dollar Payroll is in an offensive slump at the worst time. Betts hasn't done anything in this series.

i did not even know that game 5 was on yesterday until i heard the commotion in the house and the voice of the well known famous blue jays color commontator on tv

i thought game 5 was today

Motherfucker!

The Blue Jays were trailing 1-3 in the bottom of the ninth with runners on second and third with no outs.

...and managed to pop-up and then flew out into a 7-4 double play!

I'm not too sure about that ground-rule double though.

It felt like the right call. The ball was lodged in that spot immediately from a downward force. Maybe it would've come out with no problem but there was no knowing that. I get the Dodger outfielders didn't want to take that risk. As such, I have no issue with that call.

I feel like this series is a bit of a carbon copy of the Giants 2002 series. In that series, Dusty took out Ortiz and the rest was history. Tonight, I feel like the Dodgers have all the momentum and all the pitching, especially if Ohtani does start (And he should if they want to keep the bat in the line up). The only difference is I don't bemoan the Blue Jays for the baserunning to end the game. That's basically stuck between a rock and a hard place and Hernandez just made a great play.

So NFL talk is that Russell Wilson is ruining his legacy by going to the Broncos and sucking, going to the Steelers and sucking, going to the Giants and sucking. But does that same thing apply to baseball players? Does anyone care that Willie Mays was a horrible Met? Or that Greg Maddux was a Dodger, Padre, Dodger again? Or that Ken Griffey Jr. retired midseason because he was so bad?

I find it both bizarre and thrilling to see a pitcher and catcher lead a World Series lineup!

...and I say that as someone who is rooting for the Blue Jays.

Sometimes I think it just comes down to how a player presents themselves and their relationship with the media

Honestly, I keep forgetting that Mays played his last 1½ seasons with the Mets. And my mental image of both Maddux and Griffey is stuck in the 1990s when they were both at their peak playing with the Braves and Mariners, respectively. :p

I feel bad for Ohtani. He shouldn't have still been pitching to give Bichette the opportunity to crush that home run.

...and now the Jays are making the same mistake with Schrezer. They got lucky with two excellent diving catches.
