MLB 2025: The A's are Playing Where Now?

Giants won their first series and gained a half game on the Dodgers. Gaining ground won't happen that much this season so enjoy it when it happens.

As for these Torpedo bats that the Yankees are using, I have a feeling everyone will be using them in a week, if they are legal.

Meanwhile, the Pirates are off to a typical start: lost 3 out of 4 against the Marlins. All four of the games in the series were 1-run games, with David Bednar chalking up two of those losses himself. Time for them to find a new closer, because The Renegade just doesn't have it anymore. They were stupid to not pick up Aroldis Chapman for another year.

I know this will come as a surprise to you, but the Mariners offense is bad while the starting pitching is great.

Would somebody PLEASE explain to me what's going on with the Yankees bats? Everybody is complaining but I have no idea what they're talking about!

My local sports radio morning program devoted a couple of segments to the Yankees and from what I could gather, the bats that the Yankees are using are bats normally used for Spring training and are shaped and weigh slightly different than regular bats, but still within regulation. It allows more contact with the ball.

I think the St. Louis Cardinals (which is my all-time favorite team) will just barely make the playoffs this year but not advance beyond the Wild Card round.

Reds look like the Reds. Shame, guess we’ll get to watch Elly De La Cruz win with someone else.

Maybe it's not the Bats that are blowing out the Brewers. Maybe they just are not good so far this early season. They got blown out again today by the Royals. I was wondering about these bats too, but we don't really have enough of a sample size to make real determinations.

Yeah, the host on the sports show this morning said the same thing.
Give a few series and if the Yankees are still knocking them out of the park, then there might be something to the Torpedo bats.

First ever game delay I've ever seen due to a drone hovering over the field.

I saw that happen at an NFL game a year or two ago.

Rafael Devers has 15 strikeouts in five games with zero hits. He became the first player to strike out 10 times in a team's first three games of a season, the first player to strike out 12 times in a team's first four games, and his 15 strikeouts through five games broke the record of 13.
