Gods. the inconsistencies in that design drove me made, the lines in that image up there just makes them stand out more!

I've worked in marketing for more than sixteen years, with graphic design being a significant component of my portfolio. Imagine how I felt looking at the misalignment.

This was a design that was floated last year by some guy and I like it much better:

After Chief Wahoo, they probably wanted to stay away from any iconography that includes human-similar mascots.

I have no idea what the blue lines are supposed to be or represent.

Everything thing should line up, The line along the back of the "front" "G" should line up directly with the back of "far" "G", but they don't. Same with all of the lines on the G, the wings, and everything else. It should all line up and be parallel. They're not.

I mean, it ties in with the city's history (and the statues on the bridge are pretty badass, I remember them when I traveled across Ohio a few years back ... wait, sweet Jesus, that was eight years ago, I'm old). My only gripe is that the logo is incredibly half-assed from a design perspective, none of the lines are in alignment. It's breaking several fundamental rules of graphic design:

Then my anatomically correct version is probably twice as out of whack

At least it's a better name than "Climate Pledge Arena." And there are at least two tie-ins I could think of that might be fun...
The Cleveland Guardians of the Galaxy and the Cleveland Sailor Guardians.

Max Scherzer has been scratched for Jon Lester for tonight's start, supposedly due to a triceps injury. Speculation is he's on the move, possibly to Los Angeles.
