The Rays looked great. They can mix and match with the best, it's like playing a team of Hydras.
Hope they make it to the WS, they deserve it.

Yeah, the Rays are the only team from the American League that I care about making it to the World Series. I'm hoping for a Rays/Braves World Series at this point.
 
Callaway was a dead man walking the minute the Mets hired Brodie Van Wagenen.
 
The Astros will end up winning so many world series they'll name the series after them. Statues will be erected, monuments throughout the land, I heard they found an Astros cap on Mars using Google Mars maps. It'll be our first contact as alien species from all over the galaxy will come to marvel at the Astros.

As long as I don't run out of pot I'm fine. LOL

I'm not normally a big baseball fan, but only turn into one if the Astros are doing well, which they are. Unlike most big baseball fans that actually REALLY follow their team, I don't even know half their names. I would be ashamed, but I'm to stoned for that. :p
 
Oof, that was a rough game for both the Braves and Cardinals, with the Cards coming up on top, barely.
 

The "annoying nuisance in general" part I identify with, in fact I'm actually quite good at that.

Suddenly I feel a need to be a much more overt and irritating Astros fan. :D
 
I generally find fandom litmus tests to be obnoxiously tiresome - whether they're for Star Trek or sports.

Before this year, I'd probably only seen a handful of innings over the last five years. It's just a lot harder to follow baseball than football out of state. But now I sometimes feel like I have to validate myself for following for the team during a record-setting season.

And now that you mention it, I think I might try to find a pink Twins hat.
 
I'm rooting for a Twins/Nationals series, winner gets to claim the Senators title from the 20's, that would be fun, though I know we'll end up with something horribly boring like yankees/Astros vs the Dodgers.
