Mitchell and Webb & Psychoville

Absolutely! And I've still got Mock The Week and Mitchell And Webb to watch....Auntie Beeb has had a good night, tonight!

Psychoville was an interesting change of pace - a tiny cast in one room - but fabulous, and great to see all three of the league back together!

My laptop crashed and refused to get reconnected at 9.55. iplayer, I salute you and will now sit in front of you for the next 90 minutes.

Me, I was too invested in last night's gripping Torchwood to focus properly on what seemed to be an awesome and cleverly staged instalment of Psychoville.

Consequently, iPlayer will be my friend today, too. :bolian:

In many ways, last night's Psychoville was a throwback to the Leagues' early days - a three-handed theatrical piece. Many of the scenes in LoG series 1 were done in the same way as they were based on pieces originally written for the stage.

But with this, they turn it into an artform. It really was that good.

I read somewhere that this week's episode was shot in only one or two takes, adding to its theatrical / Hitchcockian roots. tvguide.co.uk suggested it was an homage to Hitchcock's "Rope".

Right now I'm just curious as to how much of a coincidence it is that the "TrekBBS Scenes You'd Like to See" thread came up with one about a weather forecaster, and that was the first thing they used on MtW last night!

I think Dan Patterson has an account here. ;)

Damn, I'm loving Psychoville a lot. Great to have the storylines back again after last week's experimental episode.

The online interviews stated the show's inspirations from the likes of LOST and Heroes - and it shows.

^ I'm loving how David and mum's murder spree was started because of a "bad murder" - not a real one, but a fake one done badly.

:D

Psychoville gets better and better. Last weeks was hard to top though this one was still great, loved the musical number with the murderers.

Didn't think Mitchell and Webb was quite as good as it has been.

No M%W was a bit inconsistant last night. The Sunday afternoon thing wasn't funny until the robot turned up at the end, did like Mitchell's monologue, and though it went on too long the two brother's was quite amusing. Robert Webb's drunken B&B guest sounded strangely like a certain Sir digby...

Yeah, I agree. I thought the 2 brothers were the funniest part. And yeah, I guess Webb only has 1 drunk voice.

Well I guess maybe that's just how he sounds drunk!

Shame we didn't get more Sir Digby this series...I was hoping we'd see Numberwang for the Skins generation!

I have to say, this week's Get Me Hennimore! was probably the funniest yet.

Or maybe I'm the only one who gets the joke...
