Missed Opurtunity in SG: Continuum.

I saw it last Friday and I was pleasantly surprised to like it. It was like a System Lord high school reunion.

Speaking of which, where was Ra? If the cargo ship carrying the Egypt gate never made it to the U.S., that means that the SG program was never started, which means that the first expedition led by Jack O'Neil never went to Abydos, which means they never encountered and defeated Ra which means he should have been alive in the altered timeline. They should have mentioned something like Baal taking him out offscreen. Or better yet, they could have gotten in touch with Jaye Davidson to reprise his role of Ra and have the top of his head sliced off instead of Apophis. It's funny what you think of when you do laundry. Discuss.

IIRC, there's some vaguely Egyptian looking guy present in the big System Lord meeting that is supposed to be Ra in a different host.

Yep, Ra is in the lineup of System Lords when Ba'al bitchslaps Camulus for talking out of turn. Ra has no lines, and is played by the same guy who played him in Moebius (though it doesn't really matter, since he was wearing his giant headpiece in that one so you couldn't see his face and wouldn't be able to tell if they re-recast him). The biggest giveaway (and it ain't big) is that Ra's wearing the same muumuu he wore in Moebius.

Ra is indeed in Continuum, played by the same guy that played him in the Moebius two-parter.

I can only find out that Peter Williams has a brother named Stephen, who has directed for several science fiction series, including Lost (as recently as last night's episode).
