Misreading Member's Names

Not really funny when people read "Arian" instead of "Aurian" and some people has mixed me up with a poster called "Arianwen" or something like that.

I have often been called Cameleopard, with an extra 'e'.

I had someone call me Cameleon recently. That was a litttle harder to understand.

This one isn't a misread, so much as a misinterpretation. At first, I understood trampledamage to read as "trampled a mage" instead of "trample damage". The elephant in her avatar finally clued me in.

Well, now that you mentioned it, I always thought there was an "i" in your user name.

I've said this before, but I hope Zion Ravescene wasn't offended when I thought his name was Zion Ravenessence.

Ha! There's another one! I do the exact same thing! I thought it was Ravenessence too!

That's the first one that occurred to me as well.

I only just started actually reading it correctly.

Turn up the volume on that Barry White cd, babe: it's iguana tonight!

I have struggled not to read it as iguana tomatoe.

iguana tonante --> iguana tomate (Tomate is German for tomato)

Ah! I would have never suspected that my handle would be read as that. On the other hand, being Italian, a tomato is oddly appropriate!

I used to get really confused between Kestra and Kestrel. They were indistinguishable to me until I started actually talking to one of them.

Sometimes I see Kestrel's posts and am like wait, I didn't post in that thread! So even I get confused.

It really doesn't help that your avatars were kind of the same color palette too.

Camelopard is actually an obsolete term for a giraffe, dating from the late fourteenth century.
