Misreading Member's Names

Sometimes as I read through TrekBBS threads I notice that i kind of read some members names incorrectly.

Some examples of the top of my head:

iguana tonante kind of turns into iguana tonite as I read it.

kustirider2 turns into krustrider2

There are others but I can't remember them right now.

I think some people thought I was Nerdpuncher...which would mean I'd have to punch myself.

Over on the HobbyTalk boards, a certain member (who shall remain nameless) mangled my username scotpens into “scotspen.” At least nobody's stuck an “i” in it so far.

I always misread Hermiod as... well... I wondered why the hell someone would name themselves that, and why were they so bad at spelling?

I did the same thing with both of those too.

And blab is still around. She pops in from time to time but not all that often. (We are friends on FB so I know she is still alive... and being her silly self.)

I used to get really confused between Kestra and Kestrel. They were indistinguishable to me until I started actually talking to one of them.

Every time I see propita I think it's "propecia."

I also thought it was blab-lover.

I apologize for thinking scotpens was scotpenis. Would that even be allowed here?

Also, every time I saw Hot Footy I read it as Garak.

BTW, I think I agree with every single one of these so far. At least at one point, I've made these mistakes.

Back when I was Babaganoosh there was a couple of them. One poster liked to call me Bolognagoose. Nowadays it's more like Laserbaba or Laserganoosh which is not quite as funny.

Sometimes I see Kestrel's posts and am like wait, I didn't post in that thread! So even I get confused.
