Misfits Series 3

^Didn't the broker mention that the guy who acquired Curtis time travel power wanted to travel back in time and kill Hitler? Maybe this is the consequences of that guy doing something and creating an alternate timeline or something?

I liked the ending to this week's episode. It makes you wonder just how much of Future Simon's actions were actually choices he made or choices made for him by this guys power to bend reality to his will by writing storyboards and controlling the actions of people. Simon keeping the costume and everything was because of that guy storyboarding it. He may have storyboarded in the thoughts/motive/drive whatever for future Simon's actions.

I liked it in Sanctuary when they discovered in 1943 that Druit, an immortal teleporter also known as "Jack the Ripper" was working for the NAZIs and they demanded to know of him "how could you do this!? Work for them!? With your powers you could kill Hitler so easily!' and replies with a repose sigh "I already killed him 6 months ago. They're just using a stand in now to keep power."

It's pretty clear that without Hitler, the Germans would have won the war.

Hitler saved the world.

Well it looks like Misfits has been picked up for a Fourth series ahead of the finale on Sunday

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s145/misfits/news/a356344/misfits-renewed-for-fourth-series.html

YES! I was worried this would be the last one, with Rudi replacing Nathan, but he's been so much better than I thought he would be, and I think focusing this series on Kelly has saved them. I don't think the series as a whole has been as good as series 2, but it's still quality television and about the best thing on right now for me.

Really enjoying that it seems to be E4's flagship late-night show right now, what with being moved to a prime slot on Sundays from Thursdays last year.

Glad to hear they're planning another series. Have really enjoyed this year's shows. Can hardly believe that the finale is already upon us.

I just saw the finale. Poor Alisha.

Officially in mourning now. I still can't wait for next year, it's like the best thing on TV at the moment, but they KILLED HER! YOU MONSTERS! :(

Saw it coming though, I mean, you'd have to be blind not to see it coming, if not from when that crazy girl's eyes light up at the mention of revenge, the fact that Simon goes back in time at all.

I really hope Antonia goes on to do more good stuff, she is amazingly attractive, and nice, from what I've seen when she briefly set up a Twitter account.

Otherwise, good episode to finish off a rather good series. Only Rudi, Kelly and Curtis left though (unless they can find a way to bring Simon back...?)

Good way to end the series, hopefully if they're replacing Simon and Alisha with someone as good as Rudy. Nice to see it resolved though, the whole Simon time loop thing. Have to wonder if there's more to Simon's story to be told next series, is it going to be the first 2 series again from Simon's perspective some how?

Briefly I was thinking that they gave him immunity to all super powers, so that he could accidentally survive the whammy that was supposed to have killed him in the past... But a bullet is not a super power is it?

Unless that guy fabricated the gun he used with a super power?

Naaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Too much of a stretch.

I'm kind of pissed that no one thought to power up before the end of Series 3.

Based on their Series 1 powers, anyone wielding those collectively would of been nigh invincible. (Well maybe not the Arrousal power... lol)

Take: Invisibility, Telepathy, Time-Travel, & Immortality... that's a sweet set of powers right there.

Now if you add in: Super-Intelligence, Precognition, Astral-Projection, & Reality Manipulation... that would of been even better.

You're telling me that Simon couldn't of taken 2 weeks to step back from his grief, "Batman-Up", track down a basic bullet-proofing power...

Come on. Of the whole group, he's the one that would of though of it.

He had to die.

She wouldn't fall in love with him if he didn't die.

If the elder self survived, Alicia would either stay in love with the wrong Simon or never fall for the younger Simon.

He had to die or "appear" to die to keep Alicia on course.

If Simon didn't want to be shot, he could have just made massive to minor changes to the timeline... Which would mean that she might never fall in love with either of him.

But dead and in love seems to be more important than alive and ignorant.

But the important point here is none of these guys want this, hell they traded their powers away before realising they needed powers because of the shit that happens to them. And of course, crucially, they're a bunch of idiotic kids with ASBOs who were basically flushing their lives away. If they were hard core criminals they probably would, or geeky kids in to sci-fi who have spent years dreaming of it, but they're not.

OMG did not know Joseph Gilgun was a Dingel.
Have not watched Emmerdale farm in ages but I think I can just remember him.

Ah, shame Simon has definitely gone. With the exception of Lauren Socha, I think Iwan and Antonia were the best talent in the main cast.

We're going to have to have some new characters next season, I guess.

Still having a major sad about how Alisha died. :(

Wow, I didn't think they'd lose 2 more major characters.

Oh well, they handled Sheehan leaving very well, so i'm not too worried. Although despite this season being really good, it did miss the spontaneous and eccentric edge that Nathan brought to it. His replacement did a sterling job however.
