Miscellaneous Street - The Soap Opera

Miss Chicken

Little three legged cat with attitude
Admiral
Welcome to Trek City everyone. Or actually a small section of Trek City.

Before I start I want to say I am looking for a MAP MAKER. I tried drawing a map myself but it was crap. If anyone can come up with a good tagline for this soap opera I would appreciate it.

Miscellaneous Street runs off Central Avenue. There are 15 houses in Miscellaneous Street and the street is a cul-de-sac.

All the houses in Miscellaneous are newly built and ready to be occupied.

Beyond No 15's yard are the railway tracks. On the "wrong side of the tracks' is the trailer (caravan) park. There are currently 4 empty trailer homes.

The next street along from Miscellaneous Street is Neutral Road. There are currently 6 empty houses in Neutral Road. Neutral Road is a longer road than Miscellaneous Street and continues over the railway tracks. Access to the trailer park is off Neutral Road.

There is a small playground between Miscellaneous Street and Neutral Road.

There are several empty shops on Central Avenue. All the shops have apartments over the shops. A small preschool is also located in Central Avenue.

On the other side of Neutral Road is some wilderness. A hermit lives in a cave in the wilderness.

If you want to be a part of this community just tell me what house/shop/trailer home/cave you want to move into.

There are also people who don't live in the neighbourhood but are seen regularly (i.e. postman, milkman, missionaries). You can choose to be one of these people if you like.

Like mods through the hourglass...so are the threads of our lives.

That is quite good. I like it.

I would like to live somewhere on Misc. Street. Sounds nice.
You can move into No. 7 if you like. The lawn needs mowing.

Give me one of the shops/apartments on Central Avenue. Of course I will sell baseball gear and memorabilia. :techman:
Have you a name for this shop?

I would like to live in a trailer.
Do you want the best trailer, or the crappiest?

Miss Chicken is living at 15 Misc Street with a crazy cat lady and 27 other cats. As Miss Chicken doesn't particularly like other cats she has taken up residence in the rotunda room on the roof of the house. From this vantage point she can use her little telescope to see what everyone is up to.

Although I should probably go for being the hermit, I'll move in over one of the shops on Central Avenue and open a bookstore. I'll call it Honest RJ's Banned Books.

You certainly may. Do you have any parcels/letters for the Crazy Cat Lady?

No parcels today, ma'am, however I do have several coupon flyers for you, including one from the book store on Central, and a local pizza chain. ;)

Can I be the neighbour from hell? Sexist, racist, always playing loud music, extorting protection money from local shopkeepers...

Obviously the NO JUNK MAIL sign on my letterbox doesn't deter Trek City postmen from posting junk mail - these signs do work in Tasmania , I didn't received any promotional flyers there.

I apologize for the inconvenience, ma'am, I just go by the orders the city gives me. ;)

Neighbours from hell all live in Neutral Street. We can hear your loud music even from here.

I would like to live in one of the empty houses in Neutral Road. Possibly, the farthest from the trailer park (sorry, Kestra, gotta keep an eye on property value: you can visit when you want). I'll call my architect to renovate and refurbish it.

Neighbours from hell will not scare me away: I'll just introduce them to Italian wine and we'll be best pals in no time.

No 4 Neutral Road is your address. It is a house in need of bit of loving care and attention and as a result is available at a bargain price.

I fixated on the word 'opera'

(sung to Habanera, from Carmen)

I am here on this faded street,
With the dust swirling round my feet,
The houses all look so cold
And there is no one to hold.

I am here near the neutral place,
Which sets us a darker pace,
But here it's peaceful and serene
WIth just the odd meltdown scene

(Da da daDA!)
Oh, odd... meltdown scene.
(Da da daDA!)
Oh, scene... when posters goooooo... so-o-o mean.

Ta da!
