... because I couldn't seem to capture "anxiety" and "sleep deprivation" in a single image!

I'll go with the one on the left as my official entry. (I had actually found some good animated gifs for both, but unfortunately one turned out to be definitely from media, and the other I suspect was also. )

Funeral for a good family member who went in to get fluid drained from her lungs, and died hours later. I was one of four people who scattered rose peddles out into a bay after scattering ashes.

It happens that quickly.

People -- I know it's rare -- have come back from the dead in hospitals. But when her heartbeat reached 23-beats-a-minute, the staff decided it wasn't worth letting her have oxygen and even though we're not sure if she heard any family there or was even self aware, her eyes were wide open and she was gasping for breath and died in her mother's screaming arms.

If I can impress upon anybody here in the medical field, just let the person die first and then take away whatever it was that was keeping them going. This was a horrific way for her to go and even more horrific for her mother.
