So we have finally... FINALLY!... got some nice weather around here. As we at long last crawl out of the doldrums of winter, everyone is enjoying our new-found warmth and sunshine. So in honour of that, our theme for this contest will be Signs of Spring!

Your entry can be any of the traditional sings of spring, or anything you enjoy doing in the Springtime, or anything to do with spring, really. As usual, our standard avatar rules apply: maximum image size of 200 x 200 pixels, and 1 MB. As well, no media images, please.

Sorry, I know spring "officially" started in mid-March. But the cold and snow and ice have dragged on so long where I live, that it has only started to feel like spring in the last couple weeks! (And apologies to our southern hemisphere members; I believe you're actually in autumn now? But maybe some nice spring images will help keep your mind off the slow, inexorable descent into winter! ;) )

Here is my entry: crocus blooming is a sign of approaching spring!

Have fun, and enjoy the sunshine!

I will. Thanks....I enjoy others sharing, but I'm old and cranky and have no vanity.
I much enjoy others telling me which beauty to consider. But by any other name,
A rose is still a rose. And Marynators blue ones win, IMO. She'll get here.

Especially since it was made public how much the bee population has suffered in the past decade, and what their extinction might mean for the eco system, I'm really glad when it's spring and I see or hear one of the little fellas around. As long as they keep their distance, obviously.

I also enjoy honey, so there. Also, buying and eating honey, especially from local production, is actually helping the bees, as the keepers do their best to ensure their well-being.

This brings back a forgotten memory... my mother and I went searching for spring crocuses on a hillside near the acreage where we lived at the time. We saw them peeking out of the snow like this. I think I was about 4 or 5 at the time. :)
