This contest theme was actually inspired by the recent discussion going on in the "Ninth Planet" thread. Our theme this week is gods and goddesses from ancient mythology. Your entries may depict gods and goddess from any mythology that you wish.
The usual rules are in effect: your entries must be no larger than 200 x 200 pixels, with a file size no larger than 1 MB. Your entries can be from any artistic interpretation (eg - statues, paintings, etc.) and can be either historical or modern representations... just not anything from media sources. (Sorry, "Who Mourns for Adonais?" fans.) Each entrant may enter up to two entries. Your entries must be SFW. Please make sure to identify your entries.
The contest will be open for about a week. To start us off, here are my entries:
Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom, handicraft and war
(from a statue in front of the Austrian parliament building)
Isis, Egyptian goddess
(artistic interpretation)
Have fun!
