In the mirror universe there never were rogue prophets who were expelled to Bajor. Thus no need for an emissary or a Bajoran religion build around that lore.

When a human from our universe spends any amount of time in the mirror universe, their body attempts to adapt to the differing quantum frequency. The more time spent, the worse it gets. This includes brainwaves, metabolism, etc.

You can leave the mirror universe, but the mirror universe doesn't leave you. Sisko unwittingly carried back more than he took with him.
