It depends, really.

Since no one in any of MU episodes ever discusses time travelling to correct the divergent timeline, it seems to me pretty definitive that the MU is a separate, coexisting reality, no more right or wrong than the Prime Timeline we see every week.

That doesn't rule out a point of divergence. If the point of divergence is far enough in their past, they may not realize it even exists, and therefore will make no attempt to discover it, let alone correct it.

For me, the fact that they refer to the MU as a parallel universe rather than a divergent timeline kind of does. YMMV.
