Mirror Mirror question..

Oh I like it too, it wasn't nearly long enough though should have been a two partter? or may use as one of the themes for a feature film..

I like multiverse type stories, I think most people dislike the DS9 Mirror episodes because it presents everyone, including the heroes, in a negative light.

As for In a Mirror Darkly, people dont like that just because its an Enterprise show.

Personally I would love to have seen TNG episodes similar to the novels where the Empire didnt fall, or more like Yesterdays Enterprise where those who are normally squeaky clean have some edge to them.

If there's widespread negative sentiment toward "In a Mirror, Darkly," this is the first I've heard of it. In my experience it's generally praised as one of ENT's best installments (or at least one of the most fun).

And I don't believe there's anything that "most" Trek fans agree on.

The Mirror Universe wasn't some magic cartoon realm where everything is backwards. That's taking the title too literally and Star Trek as a whole too fancifully. It was simply an alternate timeline where human history turned out differently and produced an empire instead of a federation. After all, we saw that Spock was basically a decent man in both realities; it's just that the circumstances of the world he inhabited had forced him to become more ruthless to survive. It was really just humanity that was more savage and ruthless.
Exactly THIS.

Same, although I actually thought Mirror Darkly was one of the very few Enterprise episodes which were done well...

...excluding that weird Gorn.

The comments made toward the DS9 MU episodes, as well as the ENTERPRISE two parter are typically negative.

In what universe?

As far as I knew, only "The Emperor's New Cloak" gets a lot of criticism. The first DS9 ep, "Crossover", and the ENT two-parter, I thought, were generally very well received.

The TV ratings must have been high on all the Mirror Universe episodes, since CBS Home Video even produced the "Alternate Realities" boxed set:

Edit: Strangely enough, "The Emperor's New Cloak" didn't get enough fan votes in the polling to be represented in the set. (Told ya so.)
