I found the fanboyism very interesting. First everyone was confused, then they sided with the Yogscast, then they sided with Notch, then they sided with the Yogscast again. It effectively showed how people's opinions can be swayed using just a few words. It was like a validation of the ideas put forth in Life of Brian.
As for the Yogscast, their best stuff was in the beginning when they were actually playing the game, now it's mostly custom maps and stuff like that. I don't see the point of playing Minecraft if you can't place or destroy blocks, you're just playing a really buggy adventure game.
