He's 2 for 2 with Trek films and it wasn't because of luck.

That's an interesting question as it's unexplored territory for Star Trek. It's probably time something like that happened, though. Perhaps as a stand-alone animated movie like what DC does.I've seen it suggested that Metyer and CBS could be involved with TV movies to stream on All-Access. I seriously doubt it, but I wonder the specifics of Paramount's exclusive Trek movie deal. Does it only cover cinematic movies, or TV/straight-to-streaming ones as well?
1 for 2. Almost a quarter century ago.
Maybe the next movie will kick off a series of 'Anthology' standalone type movies to come out between the Kelvin ones
Actually Nicholas Meyer has a 2 for 2 as a Trek director (TWOK, TUC) and a 3 for 3 streak as a Trek screenwriter (TUC, TVH, TUC)
I'm not picking on you specifically but I think it's fair to suggest that all art is subjective. If someone believes Meyer is 1 for 2 or 2 for 2 in regards to his Trek directing career, shouldn't that be okay? It's all opinion and personal preference.
You're not picking on me specifically only you kinda are. No offense, but did you read the post that I quoted? Or the previous one that he/she quoted?
I read both. But what you suggested is that a director is a certain percentage of good. That's purely opinion.
And what did they suggest?
Alright, I was out of line. Please accept my apologies.
He's 2 for 2 with Trek films
3 for 3, actually.
1 for 2.
Nicholas Meyer has a 2 for 2… and a 3 for 3…
I just found it odd that you quoted only me when we all used the exact same phrasing with mostly the same percentages!![]()
Look, I've had a very shitty few days. I'm not on top of my game. I probably just shouldn't have commented in the first place. Can we let it go at an apology?
No problem.
It seems that Meyer is not involved in Star Trek 4, but AICN is hinting at a possible return to the Khan character in a project that he might write and direct

Reading the article, it reads more as speculating rather than hinting.
