Metallica reminds me of Star Treks fans and Star Wars in that it's this amazing thing, this huge impact it has on some of us and you stay loyal but time moves on, but you don't forget.
Metallica for me was just like the Beatles are to some or Elvis. They just blew me away; especially the first five albums. I started with "One" so I realize I'm not has hip as the earlier fans. Puppets, Justice and Lightning are fantastic.
I like the new album, but I don't think you can ever capture that old feeling you had as a teen.
Then again, I kind of got that last night at Mama Mia.

When Sophie first starts singing on the beach to her friends I felt like a kid watching Grease in like 1979 or whatever.
