Rumor is they've got the size down to 150MB, which IS sort of ridiculous and hard to believe given the sheer amount of audio, but I think this is one of those games MS would be willing to bend the riles for similar to Bionic Commando and Street Fighter II.
I couldn't possibly believe that. There's no way you turn 1.2GB worth of game into 150MB unless the audio quality has been compressed to the point that it sounds like it's coming out of a DS.
Even at 350MB, there's no way. I mean ... this is something I'd love to see, but if Konami, for the recent Essentials Collection, simply re-pressed old CD-ROMs of
Metal Gear Solid and DVDs of
Metal Gear Solid 2, I can't imagine one of Kojima's teams taking that level of time and resources for a Live Arcade project.
Also, as the article states, MS did publish the PC release of MGS.
