Anyone here ever use one of those 'mesh' routers, like the Eero? What did you think of it?
I tried the Eero once but it was a dismal failure - one of the units didn't work, and it didn't do anything for WiFi dead spots like people kept telling me it would (in fact the WiFi quality with the Eero was worse than my old setup). So that's why I went back to AirPort.
Also, is it true that whatever kind of mesh router you use (the Eero, or the Google one, etc.), the units won't function without a constant connection to the company's own servers?
