Can I ask a dumb question, not knowing your situation from the person next door-is that a bad thing? So I think maybe I will try for one of the horse ranch/stable jobs but then I start thinking about how different that is from retail, and it's totally new to me, and I'll be dealing with an environment I've never been, and I'd have to learn a lot of new skills.
I got hit by The Sads yesterday, but managed to ride the wave and watched some comedy.
Not necessarily, the thought of it is just a little scary for me.Can I ask a dumb question, not knowing your situation from the person next door-is that a bad thing?
Understandable, but also normal. I hate doing new things but it's also the only way to learn. I could stay in retail because I'm pretty good at it but I hated it. Only way it changed was doing a new thing. Scary? Yes. Worth it? So far, yesNot necessarily, the thought of it is just a little scary for me.
Dude, you've got a passion for animals. That's a great strength which can support you in learning new things.I did get to pet of some of the horses I see on my bike ride yesterday, and it really got me thinking about how much I like being around them.
*hugs*Unexpected Lower Back pain, plus Neck Pain and buzzing in ears . Feeling horrible

You got this!I think I made up my mind, I'm just gonna go back to retail, but then pick a day to have off every week so I can go down and volunteer at one of the animal sanctuaries in our area. There's 3 possibilities, so I just have to see which one (or even ones) I can get my mom to take me to. The problem is two are a little farther away than we go on a regular basis, and one's closer, but isn't in the best part of town. I'm hoping I can convince her to take me to one of the farther ones, they're bigger and nicer than the closer one.
What kind of animals?I’m suggesting to my wife that she volunteer at a place, like a shelter or sanctuary for animals. I know people who adopt/rescue disabled animals and I really think that brings out the best in people.
Congratulations! How exciting! My dad and I got baptized together; I was 13 and he was 40.Tomorrow, I am doing something on my terms that should have been done when I was a teen. I am finally getting baptized at church. That I was the only one of the seven kids in my generation in the family that hadn't been baptized has irked me for some time. My current church announced a Baptism Sunday, and I decided to take advantage of that. So at 43 years of age, I'm finally getting baptized.
Fair enough. Nothing wrong with paying the bills. I did retail for 11 years to do that.Especially not compared to a bigger company like the kind of stores I'd be looking at.
Thanks! And that must’ve been amazing!Congratulations! How exciting! My dad and I got baptized together; I was 13 and he was 40.
