Among the candid shots captured are first looks at a slimed Will Smith as well as the costumes for both Emma Thompson and Nicole Scherzinger. Scherzinger previously commented about her role, saying that she plays a female villain named Lilly and only has a few moments of screentime.

Thompson is said to be playing Oh, the new head of the Men in Black.

Said to feature Agent J (Smith) traveling back in time and teaming with a younger Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones in the present day scenes and Josh Brolin in the ones set in the past), Men in Black III also stars Jemaine Clement and Alec Baldwin.

MIBIII's plot already sounds a thousand times better than MIBII, which was a complete rehash of the original. This plot actually reminds me of something the MIB cartoon did once. It was a fantastic series that should have gone on longer.

Hmm judging by Smith's hair and mustache he looks like he's reverted to his 90's look.

The hair's higher like most black males had before it became more contemporary in the 2000's to keep it real short

It's just the sign of the times that hairstyles get shorter and shorter

Sharlto Copley as an alien. That alone makes this cool. :techman:

Wonder if it's the same one...nah, they wouldn't do that. ;)

I hadn't even heard about this until now but Will Smith + MIB = $$$$ I imagine. Hopefully, it will be fun. I got part II on my DVR right now to rewatch but I don't really remember it, so was it good or bad? Guess I'll find out.

And it's in 3D!

The opening numbers will be huge. will smith + 3d tickets = holy s......

"Men In Black II" was terrible. It was one of the first movies I remember being so bad that, even as a teenager who was much, much, much less picky about movies than I am now, I knew it sucked. Right up there with "Batman & Robin". "Men in Black", however, was awesome, and still holds up well, so I'm not going to write off seeing this just because its predecessor stunk. If they can recapture some of the magic of the first one, I'll be one happy moviegoer.

Ever since Avatar, every studio has hired one intern to look through every property they own to find anything with two movies so they can tag '3D' on the title of a third.

I'm not even sure if I am kidding.

The second film isn't quite as bad as its reputation suggests...but it still isn't very good. It's too bad Rip Torn went crazy, though I suppose Emma Thompson is about as good a replacement as one could get.

Hopefully this one will be better.

This is awesome. I've heard rumours about a Men in Black III, but I had no idea it was already in production. Yes, Men in Black II sucked, but one bad film does not kill a franchise.

There does seem to be a trend of making the third movie in 3D and I can't say it's entirely coincidental.

Of course, that's entirely different from making a third movie and making that movie in 3D, which are both independently justifiable.

I love the Men In Black movies. Yes, the second film was pretty bad, but it wasn't bad enough to dampen my love for this series- I love the humor and I love the chemistry between Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. I'm a little disappointed by the lack of Rip Torn, but what can you expect after he went Coco for Cuckoo Puffs. I'm a little more disappointed that Tommy Lee Jones has a reduced role- apparently he was hesitant on appearing in a third film until the studio came up with a solution.

One of the biggest reasons why these films work (or more importantly, why the first film worked so well) was because of the chemistry between Lee Jones and Smith- they tried to replicate it for the second film but it just didn't work as well. With Tommy Lee Jones gone for most of Men In Black III, let's hope that Will Smith will be able to recapture some of that chemistry with Josh Brolin, but I doubt it. So for that reason above all my expectations are lowered quite a bit.

However, the film has Emma Thompson, who is always very funny, Jemaine Clement, who is extraordinarily funny, and apparently Sharlto Copley as an alien?! This is the first time I'm hearing of this, but if this is true, then that's another reason to still remain excited for this film.

Also, re: Dream - I remember watching the Men In Black cartoon when I was younger and still really infatuated with the whole Men In Black premise. I really enjoyed that cartoon and I know exactly the episode/storyline you're referring to. Let's hope this movie is even a fraction as good as that.

The second one isn't nearly as bad as some people seem to think it is, but it sure as hell wasn't nearly as ridiculous (in a good way) or fun as the original. This one looks like it has a shot. I'm just glad Tommy Lee Jones is on board. There's no way anyone can tell me he's too old to play that character again. He just looks like he's a hundred and twelve.
