Men in Black III Set Photos

I have a feeling that perhaps with Tommy Lee not as interested in doing this movie, hence his insisted upon reduced role that they are going to bring in his younger self ala Josh Brolin for future movies.

I for one would like to see what type music Will Smith would make today. I really liked his 80/90's material before he basically abandoned music for film.

Re: MIB:2 - I don't know that I ever saw it all the way through. I missed it at theaters and caught some of it on glorious VHS at a friends house but it was more or less background noise. I'm going to have to Netflix it for sure.

Men in black 2 sucked, but the first one was good, so I'll see this one.

It would be awesome if Will Smith made another hit song for this movie, but I doubt it ;)

I wouldn't mind Will Smith and Jemaine Clement mixing it up. Clement is, after all, a fantastic musical talent from Flight of the Conchords. A musical pairing would be very interesting indeed.

Only their third movie and they're already doing time travel plots?

Still, I suppose this could explain why K was so interested in recruiting J in the first movie.

A little off topic, but in the original movie, when J and the other candidates do their shooting test, and J ends up only shoots that little girl with the algebra books, was he right?

His logic sounded good enough, but if I remember correctly Zed seemed to disaprove.

It's been years since I saw the first movie. I seemed to think that there were other things that made K so insistent on recruiting J.

Mind you, I doubt there was any such intention when the movie was made, but I wouldn't be surprised if this one tries to retcon this in somehow.

Of more pressing concern, what's the final scene going to be? First movie, we learn the Milky Way is stored within an alien's marble, the second Earth is inside an alien's locker. What this time?

Yeah, there was also the fact that he managed to hunt down that alien by foot.

But I can see retconing it so that K wants to recruit J because he recognises him from the past. I too doubt that this was the original intention, but it would fit perfectly in.

Josh Brolin as a younger Agent K? Not sure how I feel about that. I would have picked Connor Trinneer. :techman:
I see more resemblance to Jones in Brolin than Trinneer.

I'm just waiting for that guy to play young Brad Pitt in some movie. I swear he's perfect for that role. :D Will Smith's song for the first M.I.B movie was clever, but I think it's one of those cases where it only worked once (pardon me while I load up on cliches) - a one shot deal where you can't expect lightening to strike twice. I thought it was going to become a tradition with his summer blockbusters, but his "Wild Wild West" song didn't seem to go over so well.

I remember watching the Men In Black cartoon when I was younger and still really infatuated with the whole Men In Black premise. I really enjoyed that cartoon and I know exactly the episode/storyline you're referring to. Let's hope this movie is even a fraction as good as that.

Yeah, the animated series was kickass. Your talking about The Head Trip Syndrome too right? It is one of the few MIB episodes on youtube, for those wanting to check it out.

Hopefully with the release of MIBIII, we will finally get a dvd release of the show.

MIBIII should do well since Will Smith is still a huge actor. His name alone should sell this movie for most people.

I love Emma Thompson, but... damn. I'm going to miss Rip Torn in that role. He is a very distinctive personality, and he really took that role and made it breathe.

He's had what? one bad movie? and that was Wild Wild West.

I think a live action MIB tv series would be awesome.

It's been an extremely long time, but I think the novelization explicitly said that all of J's reasoning was spot-on about which aliens were harmless and why the little girl was a dangerous, and he actually passed the shooting test with flying colors. Zed just didn't appreciate his attitude.
