Memo to Bad Robot: Please include a tribute to Leonard in the new film

The guys over at Bad Robot seem pretty respectful and I'm sure they will do this without needing to be prompted, but just in case please include some type of a tribute to Leonard in the new film.

I don't care if it's something before the film (an in memory type of thing would be fine) or a tribute during the film itself to the character of Spock Prime. A subtle nod would be great.

In my mind Leonard Nimoy is the quintessential figure in all Star Trek history. More so than Gene Roddenberry, William Shatner, Patrick Stewart or anyone else. He represents the best Star Trek has to offer both on the screen and off. It wouldn't be right to not honor his memory in some fashion in the new film.

they will do it. its a no brainer..gosh I am still so sadden.my prayers are with his family.rest in peace sir nimoy. he truly had a great capacity to love like shatner said, he never fought or feuded with anyone and was always trying to find a common ground with some of his cast mates that were feuding with each other. that is love.

The film will be dedicated to him. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't appear too - bit's filmed for the previous two, a bit of CGI...

I imagine a scene in New Vulcan (I do not know what the reason), Spock and Kirk are in the high council building. At one end of the hall there is a French door to the veranda with views to the city. So, they can see clearly Spock Prime (in CGI) in the distance. Spock Prime looks at them, he does the Vulcan Salute and continues his walk. They reciprocate with a similar gesture. Kirk says: "Well, Mr. Spock, let's continue with our journey". Spock: "Yes, Captain." Kirk: "Enterprise, two to beam up"

They should dedicate the film to Leonard Nimoy, but I think their "tribute" at the end of the film should include Deforest Kelley and James Doohan. Maybe an overall TOS themed tribute...

I agree. Kelley and Doohan remain very important to franchise.

I think it's more likely to involve a Shatner cameo.

It would have been fantasic if they'd had one last scene together...

Count on it. And do not be surprised if there is some "last Scene" in or out of uniform, with Shatner and Nimoy. Secretly done by them, CGI, cutting room amalgam, whathaveyou.

I also agree in not forgetting De Forest and Jimmy. The were integral.

I find it -- fascinating -- that it took Nimoy's passing to unify everyone into wanting the original cast to make appearances in the new film.

It would bring the house down if they could somehow work Leonard into the film even if it's a 5 second cameo...Perhaps they have some cutting room floor footage left over or they could use cgi to get him in the film...If possible there would not be a dry eye in the house...LLAP!

I'm afraid it would feel fake because we know that he did not give his approval in advance, unless he actually did. And he's always been one who would want a say in it. I would not say everyone is unified until all fans actually post. Otherwise, you take your chances with something like that about whether it appears to take advantage of sentiment or is respectful.

I wonder if they'll work it into the story? Like the crew hearing of Spock-Prime dying or something like that. I could also see them doing a "dedicated to the memory of" during the credits (like The World is Not Enough did for Desmond Llewelyn and The Dark Knight did for Heath Ledger).
