Meeting Trek actors....

Captain Mike

I went out to my local bar tonite and was suprised to discover that an MC of the event was Chip Lucia....Hard to believe from what he was telling me that he is in a slow time finding any jobs. I have watched him growing up and was SO proud in getting an autograph. I brooght up all the TREK he had been in and he mentioned that it was one of the most enjoyable experiences of his career. Find it hard to believe that he told me that his jobs are drying up. He has such a history of acting that noone will hire him.

No surprise there. So-called "reality" shows have left a lot of actors out of work.

Ageism knows no gender...sad, but true. Perhaps if he could turn his talents to live theatre???

It's a shame, seems like a very nice person because he stood there and talked to me for about 1/2 an hour.

I met William WIndom years ago. He said a very similar thing. I mentioned how he was such a good actor because he became the role, instead of appearing as the actor playing the part. He said that so many casting people would rather cast known personalities than genuine character actors.
