Medium to Recreate Night of the Living Dead

First they joined the Twilight Zone, now they're joining NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD!

Medium Revels in Place Among Living Dead:
Medium will pay tribute this season to Night of the Living Dead — which couldn't be more appropriate, given the show's recent history... The show's tribute to Night of the Living Dead, in which Arquette will be inserted into actual footage from the George Romero classic, will air the night before Halloween. It marks a return to horror for Arquette, who made her film debut in Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. [MORE]

I wonder.... Will Allison be pulling any of her family members into her NotLD dream with her? ;)

Did they get Romero's approval for this or are they just doing it because the movie is public domain? I expect all the upstanding people of this board to boycott this misappropriation of another creator's work! Surely your morals don't end with the law.

Actually, it sounds kind of fun, I might watch it and I don't usually watch Medium.

This show is still on? I thought it was canned.
Medium was cancelled by NBC and immediately picked up by CBS (NBC announced its termination and an hour later CBS announced they'd picked it up for another season).

Wanted to add (passed my editing time) that I hope they give Joe something to do in the dreams since he (well his actor) has zombie experience. Jake Weber was, of course, a star of Dawn of the Dead 2004.

IMO the title describes the entertainment value of the program.

AG, who knows where the interior house shots in the original NotLD movie were filmed.

The show has its ups and downs, but my wife and I find it a pleasent enough watch.

^ They've done such things before.

What's interesting is that Medium and Ghost Whisperer are going to be against each other in the evenings starting in September. From what I read today Ghost Whisperer is going to air on SyFy at 7 and Medium will be on on Lifetime at 7.

I'm still not watching it.

Your prerogative. Sadly, you are missing an interesting and amusing hour of entertainment-one that rises surprisingly high above the normal dregs of TV. And I say this as a man who is often quoted as saying,

"If they're psychic why don't they call me-I want to talk to a real psychic! Don't they know this?"

which gives you an idea of my level of cynicism regarding the topic material.:)

After watching the episode on CBS this evening I'm sure that they can pull off the zombie look for the characters.

hmmm... could this be a prelude to her asking for help from melinda gordon who is on the time slot next to her? lol

^ I don't think that'll happen. I read somewhere that the creators of Medium and Ghost Whisperer compete with each other.

but now they're on the same network. it would benefit them both to have a solid 2-hour timeslot. besides, if the network wants it, they'll tell them to make it happen. lol
