May Challenge -- Ships Named Enterprise

Many thanks again for the April win. Now on to May's challenge!

There have been many ships named Enterprise. Your mission is to write a story from her point of view. Pick any on-screen Enterprise -- 1701, A, B, C, bloody D, E, possible-future J. NX-01. JJ's 01701 or the ISS. If it was a starship named Enterprise and we saw it on screen, it's fair game. (My sister says this should be called "If walls could talk", if that helps to clarify the concept.) [No schooners, aircraft carriers or space shuttles, please... starships only. ]

Word limit is the customary 5,000. Stories must be posted by 12 midnight Eastern on May 31.

I can do the Enterprise-E, but a lot of people would be surprised to see it captained by someone other than Picard. At least in my continuity.

I would definitely be interested in reading a story from a Cardassian ship's point of view.

Mari, I got an idea with an Enterprise and a Trager talking to each other, because of your comment, and I've written it down. Is it OK to post that, given that you did kind of suggest the basic idea, or would you prefer I not enter it for contest purposes?

I think that would be fine. I did suggest it as a possibility... "two ____s talk" is not really a plot, lol, so it's not plagiarism IMO.
