May Art Challenge - Klaus

This is going to be a WIP thread, as this idea will take some time if I can get it done... :D

I'm going for a "Steam Trek" racer... here's what I have so far, the nacelle assembly:

Reminds me of "Sky Captain" or something Harkonnen, from the David Lynch "Dune". Seems to me the challenge would be getting the idea of speed into it.

OTHO, steam locomotives always seemed fast to me. (I grew up 3 blocks from the Pennsy main line).

That will be something of a challenge to be sure, I hope to have more done this weekend...

Very interesting work... hmm, might I suggest adding some brass fittings here and there to spice it up? You know like on old steam locomotives. :techman: :D

ty.. I was planning on having more detailing in the cockpit area, but it's a good idea to add some on the rest of the ship too. :D

Well I'm not going to have the time to add as much to this as I'd like, but here's the cockpit added and some brass trim... I've got to work on a beauty shot for the actual entry still... :D

ty all! Bryce isn't the most forgiving software to model in but I like how this came out... I'll see if I can find time to give it a better cockpit area.
