What the hell is going on with the release dates? When are the midnight showings? Can someone please make sense of all this. I'm so confused.

I think what happened is they pushed the opening day to 7:00PM on May 7th. that should be the earliest show time

yeah, no midnight showing in my town anyway. Was kinda bummed about it, but I got the earliest one possible which is the 7th at 7.

Seems like most of the theaters in our neck of the woods in Wisconsin are doing the 7th - earliest time of 7pm.

Yeah, the theatres around here (and I presume everywhere else) are starting with evening shows on the 7th... but I told my dad I'd see a matinee with him on the 8th.

The anticipation is killing me!

Although its frustrating... knowing its so bloody close! But I might wait for the matinee, cheaper -for the 7pm and 10pm showings ticket prices at the theater I like to go to are $9.50 so to take my ma be about $19 bucks not including any popcorn... and ya gotta have some overpriced popcorn.

I'm waiting until Sat morning @ 9:55 AM when tickets at AMC Loews are $6. Thursday's 7PM is out because of a late doctor appt, and Friday's no good either.

I was wondering about that myself as every place I read about the movie it keeps referring to the official release date as May 8th, yet according to the web page for our local theater, they show 7:00 on May 7th.

May 8th has been the official US release date for over a year, but we started getting word a couple of weeks ago of showings being added on the 7th, and the midnight showings dropped. Opening has been getting moved up a day or more in other countries as well.

The official site now says "This Thursday". And I've seen the 7th listed on several vids as well. Looks like it has a new official release date.

I just bought my ticket for the Thursday night 7 pm show at my local cinema--in IMAX! I can't wait.....

The Cinema Center chain (which is my local theater) is having advanced showing on Thursday at 7 pm. I checked their website and there are no midnight showings. I guess it is because of all of the advanced ones.
