The couldn't get Ecclestone and now Smith will play both 9 and 11... the audience won't notice.
And oddly enough, he kept his 11 boots..!

Nope, he did a terrible 9 impression in the latest episode....I mean so bad it'll make you cringe and wish, despite the reference to a past doctor, it didn't happen at all.
His 10 wasn't GREAT but at least it didn't make him want to smack him

Smith's "9 impression" consisted of saying "fantastic" is a bad attempt of Eccleston's accent. Of course, he was at the playing evil Cyber-Doctor, so maybe that had something to do with it. Whatever, I don't view it as quite the catastrophe you do.
There are rumors that there will be some sort of Doctor Who announcement at tonight's BAFTAs.

DWO are a total joke. They're the ones who hyped up a "major announcement" not related to the current TV series a while back, which never arrived. And years ago claimed to have exclusive news of lost episodes being recovered that weren't.

I'm surprised we don't see Matt Smith shirtless more often to please the appropriate fan bases. Yes it's a family show, but... Them's good show abs.
