Remember all those Tennant as Riddler rumors for the third Nolan film? Or Eccleston as the joker for the Dark Knight?
I can't see any of the Doctor actors really being fit for 'real' Batman. (Although Pertwee did have a "Whomobile") Gotta admit though, John Barrowman could probably make a decent Superman.

I remember all the rumors circulating that John Barrowman was up for the role as Captain America. I think a lot of us who have seen him in Torchwood and Doctor Who would think that was the role he was born for. However, I think we all knew that there was no way Marvel was going to have a bi-sexual and an actor mostly known in the UK as Captain America. I'm not saying Chris Evans is bad but I really would have preferred John Barrowman.

Just like there was no way Marvel would have a former drug addict regulated to indie pics & small supportin' roles as the star of their kickoff film, right?
or what about picking a guy best known for 10 minutes of a Trek movie in which he ate the viewscreen as their thunder god?
Wow! Nick Swarsen and The Doctor, I never thought I would see them share a stage together.
Sad to say that the biggest issue was probably homosexuality. I'll never understand why in this country (USA) why it's an issue at all, big or small.
Evans looks damn near perfect for the role. I'm really looking forward to that movie.

Let's face it, as far as we know, Chris Evans is gay. I personally don't pay attention to actors' personal lives, and don't want them to tell me about it either. Seems invasion of privacy-y.
Well by all accounts Tennant is very good as Peter Vincent in the Fright Night remake, I've even heard rumours they're planning a sequel that will focus even more on himm so I could definitely see him as the Riddler (assuming he had a director strong enough to reign him in when he started gurning a bit too much...)
Well, if it's any consolation, only Barrowman's Doctor Who character is bisexual.
Probably not though.
Following that logic Chris Evans really sucked playing Johnny Storm so reasonably he shouldn't have been playing a much larger character like Captain America.
I'd like to see Captain Jack Harness duke it out with Captain Malcom Reynolds. How say you?
