Mass Effect

I sat down, and the face database got me in the right direction, and made a decent looking femshep (one that does not have ducklips) and I am much happier with her. Spacer/Ruthless/Vanguard that right now has more renegade then paragon as she has a bit of a attitude issue with Nilas<sp>. Teehee.

So Sierra Sheppard will be my fem shep, and from the looks of it, she might be a little darker then Xavier.

So...many truck jokes....rushing into my brain....

lol, I know...If you want to tell them, you can.

But don't tell them to HER

(Not the best, but decent image of her

I DO like that...you're right you avoided the up turned lip very well.

It takes a little practice but I think I've gotten better at creating halfway decent faces. Something you have to look out for is you can have a face that looks great in ME1 but for some reason doesn't import so well into ME2. Case is point, my soldier femShep Jade (that I liked to before.) All through ME1 she looked fine but in ME2 her cheekbones suddenly became razor sharp and yes, a chronic case of duck lips.

I don't think there's any real change with the imported geometry, it's just that the upgraded graphics engine highlights faults that aren't as obvious is ME1. It's so bad I went back and recreated Jade's face exactly as is was then using that as a base, tweaked it to de-emphasise the cheeks and lips while still keeping her recognisably the same person.

Another thing is where you think you have one you're happy with but after a couple hours gameplay you get to some cutscene that uses a weird angle, light or odd facial expression and suddenly it all looks wrong.

I found it's even worse with maleSheps as I've never been able to get a face that looks even close to what I'd like and even then, for some reason I can never get used to Meer's voice coming out of anything other then the default face. partly why I stick almost exclusively to femSheps.

[EDIT]

OK, since as of this week I now have a femShep for each class, I threw this together just for the hell of it.

...And yes, I made Alyxa a little ugly on purpose. :p

Yeah, I've experienced all of these issues as well.

Great collage of your FemShep army :techman:

I've found that some of the Youtube step-by-step guides out there are a reasonably good starting point to learn how to create great facial features.

I should probably mention that with two exceptions, all of those were ME1 to ME2 imports. Jade was too, but as I said, I had to tweaked the cheeks and mouth when I did a hardcore soldier playthrough (I wanted me some geth pulse rifle!) So all things considered I think they imported reasonably well. Only time will tell if they survived a second import for ME3 ;)

Cassandra was the only one created in ME2 from scratch. Well her face was at least, the rest of her not so much. Since I didn't feel like doing another ME1 playthrough and didn't want to leave it to the default ME2 backstory I went and used the gibbed save game editor to modify an second import of Jane, changing the name and picking the plot flags as I felt like it. Just for fun, I also set the romance flags to Ashley..and without getting into ME2 spoilers, so far it appears to work perfectly fine. ;)

Cassandra is my favorite of your FemShep's. She looks badass as hell :mallory:

Somehow I never play renegade with my FemSheps, maybe I should start one after I'm done with Dead Space. MaleShep renegade gets boring after a while.

^Kaylee is my pure renegade femshep. Not that you can tell from that screen cap since it was taken fairly early on in the game. Jane was a pure paragon all the way through ME1 & 2 while Leona and Alyxa were contradictory. That is to say Leona had a paragon personality but tended towards renegade decisions when it mattered while Alyxa was just the opposite.
It made for some interesting combinations of choices, especially since they'd often not be able to fall back on the special dialogue options.

Jade as I said is my "prime" Shep so I play her from the gut; mostly paragon but with a somewhat righteous edge that means she has little time for mercs, slavers, criminals and gobby reporters.

So far Cassandra is mostly paragon but with a stronger bias towards renegade behaviour when the situation calls for it...and sometimes when it doesn't.

I like Leona and Kaylee.
