Mass Effect

Let's see, I have John, John and John (the same ME1 Shep imported into ME2 twice and again as a game+ for my "loserShep" runthrough), Jane, Jade, Leona, Alyxa, Kaylee, Sam & I just started Cassandra because I haven't played as a soldier since my initial playthrough as Jade back when ME2 was released. I also started a new ME1 character called Marcus in an attempted insanity play-through, but that proved too difficult so I reimported Alyxa in the theory a level 50+ adept would have an easier time of it. Bloody stupid thing is I'm half way through (only Feros & Virmire left to do) and I still can't find any decent light Onxy or Colossus armour for her.

Also money is a bit of a problem. Not the lack of it, quite the opposite. It's maxed out and I still have a load of unsold junk equipment but I'm reticent to waste it to omnigel since I intend to get as much top grade equipment as possible and may up needing every spare credit.

I like Jade and Kaylee...OH Cassandra...is pretty
I wasn't being terribly imaginative as I was ripping off Beyond Good and Evil and Firefly. :D
As for Cassandra...I've just always have one character called Cassandra when I play RPGs, going back to when I first played Fallout. No idea why, it's just a habit. For some reason I forgot to use the name in ME until just recently.

Cassandra immediately reminded me of Stargate...

My primary Shepard's were:-
Jack (Earthborn/Butcher of Torfan Tech guy who wasn't so much a renegade but more an ass)

Jane (Navy Brat/War hero Soldier who was mostly a sensible paragon throughout the first game but went paragade in the second game.)

Dexter (Colony Born/War Hero Vanguard who was middle of the way through both and didn't make it through the second.)

Mariko (Colony Born/Sole Survivor Infiltrator in progress. Mostly renegade so far.)

Yeah, my adept is a colony born sole survivor too. There's something about that combination that screams mental problems. I mean to loose everyone close to you, not once but *twice*!

Still, since I like playing against the predictable, I played Alyxa as mostly paragon, but with a ruthless edge and terrible taste in men (at lest one of my femSheps had to bed Kaiden, and she drew the short straw!) All the others bedded Liara, except Kaylee who I kept a celibate full-on renegade ruthless/spacer/engineer. I haven't finished her ME2 playthrough yet and I'm still debating whether I should keep her single or have her chase after someone.

Benedict (So named because he looked a bit like Sisko, it was only later that I realised it was similar to my own moniker. :alienblush: Late 2007 was a weird time in my life, okay?), Denise, Gina and Markus.

For the first time ever, I actually completed all the collection side-quests. I was expecting a huge XP boost for completing them all, but no, it was all worthless.

I think the only ME1 side quests that are worth the effort are the companion ones because they make it seem like there's a point to having Wrex, Tali & GArrus along and the rogue VI on luna because it unlocks extra abilities.

Everything else is more or less just copy/paste grinding.

Like I said, I'm a completionist. :( Ah well, I've finished all the side missions now, I just need to head to Ilos and find the conduit.

I'm actually considering letting this guy be celibate and making him gay in ME3, just to see what it's like (like in my college days). But I might have him boink Jack, that would be kind of like doing a dude.

Have they actually confirmed same sex relationships this time round? Because I'm sure one of my femSheps could find some time for Ash and/or Tali...
I know they were planned for ME2 (some dialogue is still present in the game files) but for whatever reason they chickened out. Perhaps the Dragon Age team called them out on it. ;)

If you do what your character to be unattached then it takes a little care. Jane never actually did the deed with Liara in ME1, as she gently turned her down in that scene before Ilos when the music goes all thumpity-thumpity. Yet in ME2, all the indicators are that they were an item. I think you either have to not flirt at all (though ME1's definition of flirt is a bit odd as I've had Liara act as if my femShep has a thing with Kaiden even though I only ever picked renegade responses in conversations with him) or you have to *really* reject any advances.

Wooohooo Beat Mass Effect :)

Decided to save the council, and put Capt. Anderson as humanity representative. Guess I should play a fem shep but I am so tempted to go to ME2 right away.

All I'll say is that ME2 has one of the best intro sequences in gaming. ;)

I just finished the game myself. This was my first time playing as a full-on renegade, so I let the council die, encouraged a fully-human Council and set Udina to lead it. Man, that was a really disturbing ending. The alien races aren't going to like me in ME2!

Casey Hudson did twitter about it, but that's all I've heard. I'm not sure if they said returning characters from the first two games would be bisexual, but it does look like there is a chance for some man-on-man action for Markus if I choose to go that route.

well, I started Alia Shep, a Earthborn/Ruthless/Vanguard Who I like except that she has a bit of duck lips....Played till I got to the citadel.

and imported Xaiver into Mass effect. Kinda peeved, even though I am a Paragon, I got some scarring. (only renegade I earned was that I was only able to save half the colonist who where controlled by the plant, and i didn't want to get disarmed. )

Me too...I like doing it all in ME1 it all works better together anyway...better than it does in ME2.

Don't worry about the initial scaring, all characters get it like that to begin with. It's not really a spoiler to say that you'll get an email from a certain doctor early on which basically tells you that if you keep up making paragon choices then they'll eventually fade and if you make a lot of renegade choices it'll get worse.

As for the duck lips, yeah, I think that's a bit of an issue with the ME face creator. Jade suffers from that too. ;) If you're not happy with the face there's a site where you can see a bunch of other peoples' submitted designs. They all use ME2 face codes but you can easily translate them into ME1.

Basically you just move the sliders in sequence, counting the notches as you go. So 1-9 is obvious (there is no '0' position) while the letters go in place of 10 and up (A=10 notches, B=11, K=20 etc.) I think the only things to watch out for are that the 4th and 5th from the end are inverted (one is the 'hair' slider iirc) and of course there is no scar slider for ME2, so it just skips straight over it.

P.S. Not sure if you're aware of it but there was a new feature in ME2 related to your paragon/renegade score. They're called interrupts and basically what happens is that occasionally an icon will flash in the corner of the screen (blue icon in the bottom right for paragon, red anf bottom left for renegade) and by clicking the corresponding mouse button, you get to cut the conversation short by performing a paragon or renegade action. Like for example giving a dying person some medigel before the pass or push someone into cover before they get shot in the back for paragon. Renegade interrupts go more along the lines of quick drawing and gunning people down or punching a certain reporter in the face.

I sat down, and the face database got me in the right direction, and made a decent looking femshep (one that does not have ducklips) and I am much happier with her. Spacer/Ruthless/Vanguard that right now has more renegade then paragon as she has a bit of a attitude issue with Nilas<sp>. Teehee.

So Sierra Sheppard will be my fem shep, and from the looks of it, she might be a little darker then Xavier.
