MASH's William Christopher has passed away

I heard about William Christopher passing away on CNN. He also gust starred in Hogan's heroes in several episodes I've watched recently on Me tv.

Here's the Mulcahy sound-alike contest, plus the one where the Father sings a duet with Lt. Cooper (played by William's wife Barbara Christopher).

My favorite non-Mulcahy role was when WIlliam Christopher portrayed a bird-watching murder in on Murder, She Wrote. Most unexpected killer since Shirley Jones.

There's an interesting Mulcahy paradox here. This episode was filmed after Frank Burns's last official appearance, in which Margaret marries and moves to Tokyo. They will not meet again. But when Potter says ''Jocularity!'' he's actually mimicking a half-drunk Mulcahy in the wedding episode which cannot have happened yet. Margaret is unmarried and present in this ''Soundalike'' episode. And it was aired first for that reason.

Ah interesting.
