Marvel's "Fear Itself"

I read it. I can't say i was surprised since this was pretty much teased and revealed on line but it will be interesting to see the reaction in issue four. I enjoyed the Asgard stuff. This feels extremely rushed to me for some reason. Each issue is fast paced but not in an enjoyable way. Like I think I've said before, I think ultimately this story will be better read when it's collected in the winter time. Right now it just feels rushed with too much stuff packed in.

yeah, it does feel pretty rushed. hopefully they go into further detail about those who wield the hammers. i'm not surprised at the fate of you know who, but it still bothers me. i'd really grown to like that character the past few years.

I didn't even realize that was supposed to be a death scene until they showed the gaping chest wound. I thought it was just a big punch. Somehow I expect this to be magically undone by the end of the series.... that's the problem with magical god stories...

I'm not reading the main title and my not for some months.
Someone mind using SPOILER code to tell me about the 'death' this time?

Bucky

What again?

Tom Brevoort hates him and was against him coming back. The writer had to go over Brevoort's head and to Joe Quesada him to get the storyline approved.

Apparently Mr. Brevoort still holds a grudge.

On the other hand since Spidey is written by Dan Slott, you won't see OMD reversed simply because Brevoort and Slott are pals.

Hopefully Schism won't put Xavier put in charge of the X-Men.

Still it's amazing how social networks determines the storylines in comicbooks.

^ Slott has made a habit in Amazing of constantly bashing fans over the head that Peter and Mary Jane will not be together. The most blatant example of this is when Pete went to MJ's apartment and it was teased that he was going to ask her to move in but then nope and the two laughed about them not being together. It was lame. Too bad Slott hooked Peter up with the wrong woman. He should be with Norah Winters. The two have chemistry.

^ Duh. So he's dead again. What is "controversial" about this time is that he was developed into an interesting and popular character who was making his mark in the Marvel Universe as an impact player.

You are probably right, I was just making a lame effort at humor.
