Spoilers Marvel's Echo on Disney+

I'm pretty sure that's strictly for Born Again. I can't see how that would work for Thunderbolts anyways since I get the impression it will have a more global feel to it and not something localized to New York City.

Thing is we don't really have any hard info on Thunderbolts other than a partial cast list.

And while I don't want the movie to have anything to do with the most recent iteration of T-bolts in the comics (from King in Black), Marvel does have a habit of introducing changes to the comics that are designed to match upcoming movies. And Kingpin being mayor of New York was a huge part of that kib Thunderbolts series.

Ah, I didn't know Mayor Kingpin played in a role in that series.

You're right we don't know anything about the film's plot, which is why I said I only have the impression of how it might be.

I think some of the execution of the final was rushed in editing, but the general concept was cool. I just want a bit more clarification on her abilities

I haven't seen this yet, but I'd be open to if I get D+ again. I thought the character of Echo was very boring in the Hawkeye D+ series, and in fact if you told me that one of the characters was going to get their own spinoff, I'd never have guessed it was her. (Note: When I read comics, I read a lot of Spider-man, but was only exposed to Daredevil when he crossed over with Spider-man, so I didn't know she was actually a comic character until the Hawkeye series on D+.)

That said, I did see the big fight with Daredevil that came out on Youtube a couple of weeks ago. I was extremely disappointed with it -- punches and knees and kicks clearly not landing, strange moves that didn't make sense, etc. Can someone tell me if that was an unfinished / unpolished VFX release of the fight, or was that what actually aired in the series? I can imagine it would be a great fight if the VFX was cleaned up, but the obvious errors were glaring and kept pulling me out of it... like I wanted to like it but the unfinished VFX got in the way.

If that's the actual finished fight, then I'll pass on this. The inexcusably bad VFX on She-Hulk were an embarrassment that kept pulling me out of that show. This is Disney MCU, there's no excuse for production values pulling me out of it. (Note: I happily watch shows with 'poor' VFX/SFX, as I judge them on their own merits. I didn't expect that B5 or Farscape could match Star Trek for VFX and watched and judged accordingly. IMO Disney MCU on D+ should have a standard to meet... that's my opinion.)

That was three teams ago - there was another Fisk team, a Luke Cage formed team and the current comic is a team lead by Bucky.

They seem to have become Marvel's Suicide Squad rather than villains pretending to be heroes who decide that being heroes isn't all that bad. The movie team seems to be made up of anti-hero types.

The show was pretty good, certainly a lot better than Secret Invasion or the other lesser MCU stuff. I did think it suffered from the editing, especially in the first episode which just felt a bit disjointed with the very long prologue featuring scenes lifted straight from Hawkeye. I thought the family stuff worked pretty well and all the actors were good (Graham Greene is always excellent), but it felt like some scenes were missing. They make such a big deal about her speaking to Bonnie again and then...Bonnie's barely in it? Her whole role is just getting kidnapped twice; a waste of Devery Jacobs who is great in Reservation Dogs. Wasn't clear at all if Bonnie, Biscuits and Skate Rink Guy were supposed to be siblings or cousins? I thought there was maybe some romantic tension between Maya and Skate Rink Guy but maybe I got that wrong (it happens!)

Vincent D'Onofrio was fantastic as always and felt a lot like his old Daredevil self (I wasn't entirely convinced by his Hawkeye appearnce.) Alaqua Cox did very good physical acting in the generally good fight scenes. Not sure what the point of the guy with the rocket launcher was in the finale when Kingpin already had Maya's family, just felt like they thought "it's the finale, put in a rocket launcher!"

I think Bonnie and Biscuits are from her mother's side

I am curious if Bonnie and Biscuits are siblings or cousins and, either way, where their parents are. It seemed like Bonnie was being raised by Chula and Skully in the flashback (also, is Skully their grandfather, step-grandfather, or were he and Chula just dating and never tied the knot?), but young Biscuits was nowhere to be seen, as I recall.

Zane had a bunch of men with him, and I think the plan was to attack the powwow -- I guess Kingpin wanted to take revenge on the whole community because Maya chose it over him. But Biscuits ran over the vans with his monster truck so the men were trapped inside, so that just left Zane to be dealt with.

For a show that kept warning us how incredibly mature it was, it was surprisingly tame. It didn't even have any naughty language.
The Boys this is not.

It was mentioned online by Jessica Clemmons of New Rockstars that Fisk's eye patch made the same beeping noise and emitted the same light blue light as Helen Cho's "regeneration cradle" technology in Age of Ultron that healed Hawkeye after the opening Sokovia battle. My first thought was kind of "damn these people are obsessive about detail". My second thought was that it's a good working theory.

They mentioned in the first ep that Biscuits was disappointed not to be with the girls and later Biscuits called Chula grandma, so I think Biscuits and Bonnie are siblings.

I think Skully and Chula were just dating.

Yeah, all of that confused me, too. Like I said in my review, one of the few weak points of the show was the lack clarity on these relations.

I also found it weird that we didn't see Bonnie's parents in the flashbacks or the present, and the photo didn't feature them either, which gave the false impression she was Maya's sister.

Not that big of a deal bit it definitely stood out.

Yeah, that was what I figured, that it was a healing device. It clearly had nothing to do with the sign language interpreter, since that was in his earpiece and Maya's contact lens, and he had the eyepatch on in later scenes when he wasn't using the interpreter.

I do wish there'd been some more explanation of why her bullet didn't reach Fisk's brain. Also, didn't we hear two shots fired at the end of Hawkeye? I feel they retconned the scene a bit.
