I have worked in games studio and most developers want the game to be perfect as possible but publishers want the game out the door asap. Worse thing is when there is never a patch to fix the game. Despite the promises and lies, Star trek legacy never got a patch that fixed the game on the 360. The only patch it got reworded an achievement description and introduced a graphic bug with the warp nacelles
Picked up spiderman web of shadows, not bad for £6 but Act 3 will lock up the console and turns out its common bug but there has never been a patch to fix it despite it being a old-ish game. edit. after a game install, its not locking up anymore
Publishers should be accountability for any game breaking bugs but activision don't give a shit anymore incase for Spidey WoS
