An interesting “What if?” - Baz Lurhmann’s Silver Surfer:

Damn, that would've been incredible.

But if that meant he didn't go onto to do Moulin Rogue!, that would've sucked. That film holds a very special place in my heart.
Yeah, Luhrman directing a movie with Jack Kirby inspired visuals could have been pretty awesome.

Cross posting this from the Daredevil thread:

Dario Scardapne talked to SFX Magazine about why he was so excited about bringing back Jessica Jones (quotes via The Direct):

"One of the things we’ve leaned into is that time has passed between the end of the Netflix show and the beginning of ours. We’re acknowledging that. These characters have matured; they’ve gone through life. And Jessica Jones, bourbon-swilling smartass – what’s it like for her to mature seven years?"

"What Melissa Rosenberg did with Season 1 of Jessica Jones is some of the finest superhero television work ever. When I first came and talked to Marvel I was like, 'We’ve got to bring Jessica Jones back!' I don’t feel that her story ended. If you read the comic books, you’ll know that there’s a next chapter of her life that I thought was super interesting."
Unrelatedly, Mike Colter talked about his chances of returning as Luke Cage on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum (quote via io9):

I do think now it’s time. I think you know Daredevil’s back. I’ve had discussions with Marvel, and I do think that it’s very, very likely that I will come back at some point, but I don’t know when. But I think I will.
The future looks bright for the Netflixverse and I cannot be happier! :D

Sounds like they are saying is they are taking some of the edge off Jessica Jones by using the mature argument. Sounds like something Disney would force on them.

I do wonder how they address it. I mean all this character change would have happened off screen. Plus I am not sure it makes sense that they would loose touch over the years. I mean they still all live in New York. Unless she lives off the grid like The Punisher you would think they would have lots of contact with each other over the years. Maybe not Luke Cage because the last we saw of him he was turning into a bad guy.

Luke Cage has been sorely missing from the MCU. I would love to see them put him to good use in the franchise outside of the old Netflix series, which was produced before the continuity became what it is now.
