I am not sure what her getting married at young age has to do with being spoiled or not. Even spoiled people have lives and get married and all that stuff. We do know she got fame at young age, and young people are not exactly known for being mature so the idea that it has gone to her head and is kind of a diva seems very plausible. As for the bullying hasn't that been debunked already? Also "The Daily Mail" broke that story. Not exactly a trustworthy source of news.

I don't get the comment either. None of the original five were big stars and for most of them it was their first gig. Brown has apparently said she grew up poor and is very concerned with managing her money because of that. All I was saying is that it was possible that Harbour might have been treating her like she was a little girl even though by the time Season 5 came around she was an adult and professionally successful.
What I mean is that being famous at such a kidage might have spoiled she.

Sources with knowledge of the situation have confirmed to Variety that there was an investigation into Brown’s complaint, and that it was resolved.

It still doesn't say what the complaint was.

There is also no evidence that Brown (or the other actors) were "spoiled" by Stranger Things. It is not like they've all gone on to become superstars in other projects. If anything, it gave a couple of them a leg up in pursuing music. They're all celebrities now, which comes with inherent benefits and challenges.

It's going to be a little late and the topic will be long, but I still want to write it: They weren't poor or anything. Millie Bobby Brown became famous at the age of 12, and by the time Stranger Things' third season arrived, she was earning almost $400,000 per episode. What's more, her father was her manager. And she already had millions of followers on Instagram.

She was talking about her life prior to Stranger Things. I don't have any info other than that is what she said about herself.

She wasn't born at twelve. She had a life before that. Unless each of her followers sent a dollar every month, I don't see the relevance.

Instagram content creators are said to earn $10 million per post. Thanks to brand deals, she's now using Instagram as an influencer. Also, yes, she wasn't born when she was 12, but she became famous as a child.

So? What business is it of ours how she makes money? Is she doing something illegal or dangerous? Celebrity attaches name to product didn't become a thing with the invention of the internet or social media. She's not hawking cigarettes is she?
Again, so what if she became famous as a child? Is there something inherently wrong there? And indications it's caused her problems? Drunken rampages? Arrests? Public brawls?

Dear gods, stop it. You're not listening to what we're saying. And we're wildly off topic as is.
I agree.

You are right.

That's not the point. The point is that she wasn't a "spoiled" child. She was a child actress and was not hired because of nepotism. Did she and the other kids get lucky by starring in such a successful show? Yes, just like numerous other children who went on the become famous actors. But for every Leonardo de Caprio, there's a Kirk Cameron or a Todd Bridges.

Your point was that she is spoiled. In English the term spoiled means that you act like a diva. It does not mean rich. It is a value judgment about a person and quite a derogatory value judgment. She earned her money legitimately and deserves what she has just as much as anyone else. And I don't see her as someone with an "spoiled" attitude.

Did she file some kind of workplace complaint? Yes, but that is really a millennial thing in the modern workplace. It was well known that many younger people have difficulty in successfully negotiation difficult personal interactions and seek out help to do so.

It's more that someone is overindulged, flattered, and coddled to such an extent that it "spoils" their character by making them weak, selfish, greedy, etc. (The word "spoil" originally meant to strip or plunder a defeated foe of their possessions, as in "the spoils of war," so it's ironic that it came to mean the opposite, to ruin someone's character by giving them too much.)

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

What's the etymology of "pedantic"?
