Thinking more about the fact that once information gets out their is no way to make it go away no matter what efforts are done to in essence put the genie back in the bottle. Unfortunately, it's cheaper to do clickbait puff pieces than actual journalism. It's "easier" (for them) to force writers to churn out that drivel of dozens of articles per week instead of three to five substantial articles over the same time.

To be fair, some go the extra mile, ask a celebrity about some throwaway line from another celebrity about them (which is usually taken out of context), turn it into media beef and several days worth of "content".
