What grade would you give the Marvel Cinematic Universe? (Ever-Changing Question)

It could be set in a version of the 60s that had science and technology advance at a different rate. Perhaps due to Reed Richards’ breakthroughs. Like in For All Mankind.
 
I really don't think they are going to let Galactus eat Earth. Even an alternate Earth. The Four are about exploration, joy and hope. That would be such a downer ending I can't see it not completely ruining the movie. Though I'm obviously open to being wrong if Marvel Studios has a way to do it well.

That said, my money is on the F4 stopping the Big G, but becoming aware of the multiverse in the process. Reed being Reed, this leads them to explore it and sets up their potential appearances in other MCU projects. I'd expect, if they come to the MCU proper full time, it won't be until the big Secret Wars/Doomsday crossover stuff.
 
I agree. Just because the heroes live it would be terrible to know that all the other people would be dead at the end. I do think the female Silver Surfer character will die at the end. My prediction is Galactus will also switch universes and maybe in the third movie that is when they reveal the more famous Norrin Radd version who will be from the MCU timeline and will sort of follow in the footsteps of Jennifer Garner's character in working with and then turning on Galactus. They will also sort of set him up for a potential spin-of movie. Here is how I think they will do it.

I find it absurd some of the anger over not having Radd in the movie. I mean they got at least 3 movies I assume they want to make. This movie already has enough stuff in it. You got to save some cool new stuff for the next two movies. My guess is the second movie will be set in modern contemporary times and in the MCU and it will involve Doom as the main baddie and will also be connected somewhat to the Avengers movies. Then the third movie they bring back Galactus and show us Norris Radd for the first time. Coming full circle to some degree. All stuff that fans will be excited for.
 
Yeah, I can't see them going through the trouble of introducing a whole supporting cast and building up this whole world for the FF and then just wiping it out at the end of the movie. This is the FF, so it would be reasonable for them to jump back and forth between universes.
 
Not sure they would jump back and forth to much. But I could see them returning for the third movie if they do want a come full circle story.
 
I was surprised to be thoroughly underwhelmed by that trailer. I am really looking forward to this movie and the trailer actually made me less enthusiastic about seeing it.

You're being sarcastic, right? There's a shot of his shadow looming over Manhattan, and the shadow of his "horns" is half the width of the island. The next shot shows him somewhat smaller, but still dwarfing the Statue of Liberty, which is 305 feet high. According to the Marvel Wiki, Galactus's typical height in the comics is less than 30 feet. So they've scaled him up enormously.

That 'official' height is pretty wildly misleading. Yes, he was originally drawn about that size and for whatever reason still is occassionally. But he's far more often drawn towering over cities or being outright planet-sized. Apparently the official explanation is he can be as big as he wants to be (except when he loses his powers, then he automatically reverts to about 30 feet).

It's just the first teaser. That's always the one that reveals the least about a film.

Come to think of it, that might be why there are no shots of Reed stretching. Maybe the CGI on that is taking longer than the other stuff. Initial teaser trailers tend to be light on action and FX scenes because they're released before all the FX are done. They also tend to focus mainly on the first act of a film so as not to give too much away about the story. After all, a teaser is itself a "first act" of the promotional sequence, since there are usually around three major trailers in a film campaign.
 
One guy has four fingers. ( Probably a mutant though. You know Disney with all these continuity tie-ins, the mischievous scamps. )
