IGN has new article up discussing something I've been wondering about with the MCU.
Whatever Happened to Rick Jones
It has seemed odd to me that a character who's been such an important part of the comics, hasn't shown up in the MCU at all. I can understand not wanting to include him as a teenager, but they could have done the same thing the movies have been doing characters like Bucky or Jimmy Olson at DC and just introduce him as an adult. Maybe he could have been Bruce's lab assistant during his gamma radiation experiments or something like that.
Rick's an odd character for Marvel. He's bounced around a bit in search of a "home". I think he was something Kirby (who had more of an affection for kid/teen characters) brought to Hulk rather than Lee. Lee was on record as disliking kid sidekicks. When the Avengers came along Rick was along for the ride. Again, probably more from Kirby's plotting than Lee's. When Kirby steps away, Rick is pretty much finished with the Avengers. Over in Captain America, artist-plotter Jim Sterenko seemed to like Rick and tried to make him into Bucky 2.0. When Sterenko left, Rick was sidelined. Roy Thomas who was a big Golden Age Captain Marvel fan, brought Rick back to serve as Mar-Vell's "Billy Batson" when he revamped Captain Marvel. I think he wandered back in the Hulk's sphere under Peter David.

The article is right that the MCU missed its chance use Rick in all three of his comic's partnerships. Especially in the Marvels' corner which was IMO where Rick really shined.

In what way ?
In the sense that a lot of private information will be released without context and it's going to cause all kinds of trouble. Just like we saw with Sony.

Mind you, I don't think Disney is as messy as Sony and maybe there are things that need to be exposed, but I feel like this is going to do far more harm than good.

Any information about if people's passwords for things like Disney Plus were hacked.

Last night I was watching Andor and it kept blanking out saying the internet connection was lost--but my internet was working fine.

1TB is not a lot of data. It really just depends on what was stolen.

Also to add on to the Brave New World rumours I posted earlier

I found the original post. It is adamantium, it was found inside Tiamut in liquid form. Japan is the first country to figure out how to turn it into a solid metal. The Leader wants to get his hands on it.

Eh, we heard that a while back. It's not really a big secret

Wasn't the big Sony leak indirectly responsible for Sony agreeing to work with the MCU on Spider-Man films? It seems to me there was some connection there, but I could be wrong.

Byron Bowers has been announced as part of the cast for Wonder Man, which I embarrassingly forgot was even happening. Although, I imagine we will hear all about it at Comic-Con during one of the nights that Marvel is hosting Hall H. That's right, "one of" the nights.

Giancarlo Esposito believes that no one has correctly guessed his character yet:

Social media scoopers have claimed the actor's gun-toting baddie is G.W. Bridge/George Washington Bridge, an obscure character from the comics who has ties to Cable's Wild Pack and S.H.I.E.L.D.
During a convention appearance this weekend, Esposito appeared to debunk those claims.
"The character I'm playing is a badass," he started. "That always excites me. For me to develop that character in line with the character's inception is a fascinating art for me.
"I had an incredible time shooting it. I'm not telling you who I'm playing...people are trying to guess and no one has guessed correctly yet."

This is really good news. I am going to doubt that Avengers V is going to be ready for May 2026 though. I do hope that the Russo's don't just redo the 2015 Secret Wars story. I started to read that and then stopped and went back to DC. Also, I liked Loki's ending and don't really want to see that undone. Can't wait to hear more.

They haven't made anything good since 'Endgame', so it does make you wonder how much they actually had to do with the success of it and 'Infinity War'.
