What grade would you give the Marvel Cinematic Universe? (Ever-Changing Question)

Partially that is to do with the timing. "Anti-vaxer" became synonymous with Trump supporter even though Trump worked hard to get vaccines developed. It became political.

The other issue is that if too many people choose not to vaccinate against disease it has potentially disastrous effects on the rest of the population--so other people feel that people who do not vaccinate their own children put the lives of other children in danger. With COVID, this fear extended to the entirety of the population.
Again as I said, a knee jerk reaction.

To quote Star Wars: there is no civility; only politics.

Saying that this is simply about her "opinion" is facetious misdirection and borderline science denial. This is also about her actions. In the middle of a global health emergency, she chose to flaunt proven safety measures that were put in place for the safety of all. Those actions were reckless and put other people in danger. She can believe whatever stupidity she wants as long as she's only endangering herself.

Thing is if you take the Hobbit and MCU films out of the equation she hasn't done a whole lot in the last ten years which suggests she's either really choosy about her roles (and if you look at the non MCU/Hobbit films this doesn't hold a lot of water) she isn't that bothered about being an actor but takes the odd role to top up her bank balance, or she isn't that popular with casting agencies. Don't get me wrong, she's pretty and she can act but it seems clear people haven't been knocking down her door.

I actually lean towards the middle option, I don't think she's that into the business. I still recall during Lost her saying she didn't own a TV and as I think has been noted, she said way back in 2006 that her goal was to be a retired actress.

In other news, Tim Blake Nelson told ScreenRant (I loathe to link them but the interview originated with them so...) that Brave New World provides a really interesting explanation for what Samuel Sterns has been up to since we last saw him:

Very excited about it. I'm headed to Atlanta tomorrow to continue working on that. It's been very exciting to bring back a character from 16 years ago and imagine how he has aged with me and how that has manifested. The Marvel team has come up with a really interesting explanation—revelation, I should say, as to what he's been up to for 16 years and why.
Of course, it's not that much of an answer but I am glad it's a question that will be answered directly and potentially in a good way. Also curious to note the 16 years remark, but I imagine he's just referring to when The Incredible Hulk was released and not anything explicit with the complicated MCU timeline (which would place Brave New World far more than 16 years after The Incredible Hulk).

Exactly. People have the right to an opinion, but everyone else has the right to call them out for their bullshit. Evangeline Lily is a dangerous idiot, she won't be missed.

As a fan, I'd like to try to give her the benefit of the doubt, but in this case there's really no excuse for her behavior. While I like her characters, she's not really a big loss for the MCU, there are plenty of much more interesting women characters out there. And now that we have Cassie as a size changing hero, we still have someone for Scott to team up with if they want decide to continue his movies as a two hero series.

If you're not worried why is she "dangerous"?

I usually wouldn't keep responding to an anti-vaxer, but I don't want that statement to be the final one, so screw it.

She's dangerous because she's spreading anti-science bullshit. People like her are the reasons fucking measles/mumps/etc are rapidly returning to harm children because of moronic parents who have stopped getting their kids vaccinated.

Also, just on a COIVD-19 specific level, there are a lot of people for whom vaccines aren't enough or aren't workable, specifically people with compromised immune systems like the elderly or people with/being treated for cancer or autoimmune disorders. They get the chance of being exposed to COVID more for every asshole who doesn't get vaccinated when they can't. Then there are just the elderly or ill who can get vaccinated but who are still at a higher risk if they get it even with the vaccine.

I'm sick and tired of selfish morons ignoring science because some dumb asshole told them that vaccines are bad and drinking bleach or injecting dangerous horse medication is the way to go. This goes for COVID, general vaccines, whatever. Imagine if idiots like Lily had existed in this number when my Grandma was a kid, we'd still have fucking polio ravaging the nation.

Thats all I'm saying on the subject, I have better things to do with my time then try to argue logic/science against anti-vax stupidity, like slamming my head into a brick wall or beating a dead horse.

That's absurd. She has an opinion you don't like. How is she "spreading" anything? Why would anyone change their own opinion to resemble hers? People have their own beliefs, they're not waiting around to see what some actor does in order to decide what they think.
They get the chance of being exposed to COVID more for every asshole who doesn't get vaccinated when they can't.
Bullshit. Vaccinated people spread it the same as anyone, and one study showed that the vaccinated members of a household were spreading it more.
I'm sick and tired of selfish morons
No one could be more selfish than people who expect others to get injections to make them feel better.

If this is supposed to be a reference to Trump the vaccine salesman, who touts it as a personal accomplishment and never says a bad word about it, it doesn't make much sense, does it?

She's a celebrity and they do have an influence on people, and if you enough of them saying something then gullible people are going to start to believe it. And if you get enough of them saying and things like Lily did during the pandemic, it can convince those people that the bad information is true and that is when things can get dangerous.
So yes, being an anti-vaxer during a pandemic can in fact be very dangerous. For people who are already on the fence with that kind of thing, it's not going to take much to push them over to the wrong side.

Wasp had about twelve lines in total in Quantumania (probably not literally true but it felt that way.) Felt like they were already phasing her out.
