Well, if you needed proof that the incel/intelligentcia crowd out there is a very vocal minority, here it is. Ms Marvel ranked number one and She-Hulk ranked number two in the category of superhero shows for 2022..

Moon Knight got robbed... but I can understand it not being every person's cup of tea for a MCU show. I loved Ms Marvel and Kamala was/is a great addition to the MCU. My only complaint is they should have kept the 'Kamala view' of the world and events around her as more of a thing beyond just the first episode.

Oscar Isaac was (is) amazing in it. As a mythology nut, I really enjoyed it.

Yeah, Moon Knight seems a bit underrated to me. I really enjoyed it, and was a little surprised it had such a mixed reception.

I really enjoyed both of them, so I'm glad they got that kind of recognition.

I really enjoyed Moon Knight, but there were some problems in the execution of the story. It suffered from some poor choices that would have worked if Moon Knight had not been part of a larger story. Without giving away details--there are some things that happened in the story that should have aroused world wide attention. If you just watch it as an isolated story then it is pretty good.

I liked all three of the shows, but I personally found She-Hulk to be the most consistently enjoyable, as it knew exactly what it was. The other two shows seemed to loose focus a little around the mid-point. Indeed 'Ms. Marvel' especially felt like they were trying to cram way too much in. Like they could have saved the whole Karachi thing until season 2 where it might actually have had some room to breath, and not missed anything. The show was at it's best when it was low-stakes personal stories focusing on the core cast.

I completely agree about the Karachi storyline. It would have worked much better given a different story. Also, She-Hulk has been a stand out for me in the MCU. It was great to see the MCU take on toxic masculinity full on--it was good that they took that stance after Captain Marvel and Black Widow (not to say they were stellar movies) got so much negative attention from certain demographics. It was also great to see serious attention given to diversifying ---and doing it respectfully-- the MCU. The highlights of Phase IV were the Disney + shows for me.

I don't know about BW, but in the case of Captain Marvel that only happened after the star needlessly antagonized a chunk of the audience. If you pick a fight you will get negative attention.

You DO know that they never said the stuff she was accused of saying, right?

No the problem was that they waited too long to bring in more major female characters and the hypocritical double standards about Carol's character from the comics. She's unforgivable for things she did, while Iron Man did worse and was forgiven.

I remember the big uproar about Carol stealing a motorcycle. Captain America stole vehicles in two of his three movies and said he learned how to steal a vehicle during World War II, so he's been doing it at least that long. Spider-Man stole Flash Thompson's dad's car in Homecoming. And they are Marvel's paragons of virtue. Somehow, these things get forgotten.

I think this is about Larson's comments about white reviewers. She criticized that reviewers of film were overwhelmingly white men--and she made an effort to diversify the people she was interviewed by. She also spoke out for sexual assault survivors when she was promoting the movie, Room, and she refused to touch Casey Affleck at the Oscars when he was facing accusations against him. Her comment was taken by fan boys as being directed at them, rather than movie reviewers as fan boys were manipulating the rotten tomato score at the time.

People were also offended by the smile comment and that she beat up the guy she took the motorcycle from after he made sexist remarks toward her.

EDIT: Corrected a misspelling of Brie Larson's name.

Maybe everyone was distracted by the gigantic petrified alien sticking out of the ocean.

I know you and I often see things differently, but that's one thing that has been bugging since every show and movie since Eternals.
There is a frigging (guestimate here) moonsized dead alien corpse sticking out of the planet and except for a blink and you'll miss it mention news bar on a tv screen in She Hulk no one has mentioned it.

HUGE. DEAD. ALIEN.

So yeah, I'm with you there.

Which goes to show how stupid these fanboys were.
