Let's be fair. The reason this probably came up is someone asked McConaughey if he would be interested in a comic book role and he said he'd be interested if it was the right fit. That led to speculation of who he would play. I don't think this is anything beyond an unsubstantiated rumor at this point.

That being said, I'd have far less problem with just Norman Osborn, as long as it isn't the Green Goblin.

    Right here buddy.
I put him up there with Christopher Walken and Denzel Washington. They're actors who really have only one acting style that just works in many roles.

I thought Dafoe did a decent job as Norman/Goblin. It was the costume that kind of let him down-Dafoe is of course naturally expressive, it's a shame they kind of gave him a 'mecha-goblin' look (Although I suppose they had to for the 'secret identity').

He sort of played the more old school Dafoe/Goblin, who was more insane from the effects of the Goblin formula and wanted the best for his son, but was not really evil. Ever since they brought him back after the Clone saga they've pretty much tried to make him Marvel's (post-crisis) Lex Luthor.

I think Chris Cooper could've done a decent Goblin had he not simply been in a cameo (Which happened with Paul Giametti too) and had Harry do the Goblin stuff.

I wonder how they'll approach Norman this time-father who mean well but is kind of nuts, or the manipulator of later years?

Havent seen that graphic before, but seen speculation about it..

Except that S is now V, as in Vision. I wonder if that is simply a coincidence. Probably atleast started as such.

That the gem is in Vision doesn't change the fact that the gem was in/is called the Scepter. Unless they're calling the Infinity Stones what they're housed in in which case how is a box-thingy an "Aether."

Well the vision Thor had in the pool of Future Movie Foreshadowing showed all four of the gems yet seen coalescing onto the gauntlet. The power stone broke out of the orb, the space stone shattered the tesseract and in the case of the Aether it solidified from it's wild fluid state. So it's possible that like the others, the fluid is just another (extremely advanced, probably existing in more than just three dimensions) device powered by the infinity stone within. Or perhaps more precisely that they are all the actual stones that over the aeons, have been fashioned into a matrix so they can be harness as tools.

I blame the Celestials. If anything strange is happening it's usually their meddling.

I wonder if we'll ever get an MCU version of Uatu?

Be on the lookout for any MacGuffins in Doctor Strange that start with H or N. I have a feeling that's when the fifth stone will pop up.

I suspect he's tangled up the Fantastic 4 rights alongside Galactus and the Silver Surfer.

I think it's pretty much a given that the next stone will feature in Doctor Strange and odds are it will probably be very difficult not to spot it.

I would suspect it will be the Sould Stone.

While the Time Stone could feature in Guardians of the Galaxy 2? At least that one seems to be best suited for a Time Travel story to make use of the stone's abilities?

I never noticed the Infinity Stone/THANOS thing before. That is crazy.

Yup. The Dark Elves probably used their advanced science to fashion the Aether into a liquid so that Malekith could embody it upon the Convergence. I'm assuming, anyway, that Malekith couldn't simply carve a hole in his skull for the stone in contrast to Vision being constructed around the Mind Stone.

Maybe Dr. Strange's Orb of Agamotto could be one of the stones...

...or, if it has to start with an "H", the next stone could be a Hoary Host of Hoggoth!

I fully expect the Dr Strange movie to use one of the remaining Stones as its mcguffin.

I'm not sure, but wasn't the Eye and Orb of Agamotto shown briefly in Odin's treasure room in Thor?

Maybe not, but those things resembled them. The Gauntlet also seemed to be shown, as well.

    Yep.

    http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Odin%27s_Vault

Although since they are not named on-screen, future MCU producers could probably ignore them if they wanted to. After all, Joss Whedon decided that there were 2 Infinity Gauntlets in the MCU when he did the mid-credits scene of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

I've wondered if maybe the MCU will bring Surtur's sword Twilight for Thor: Ragnarok. The Eternal Flame may be in the Vault, but it would make sense to me that the MCU version of Twilight would be powered by an Infinity Stone. Perhaps Surtur will steal the Aether from the Collector to complete his universe-ending blade.

Well for one thing that graphic is wrong because several of the colours are wrong.

Anyway the Soul Gem could still be inside Mjolnir. A power unequaled by anything, ability to read the 'soul' of a person to deem their worthiness, incredible power like anything Infinity powered we've seen, resistent to Tesseract energy, only thing that even hurt the Aether, responded to the Mind Stone to create Vision etc

If the images aren't flipped than Odin has a right-handed gauntlet and Thanos has a left handed gauntlet...

Kevin Feige confirmed that there are two Infinity Gauntlets in the MCU: link to interview.

Makes me wonder what those gems are on the one in Odin's vault.
