Peter's arc in No Way Home was about his obsession with becoming an Avenger and impressing Tony Stark and realizing that he wasn't ready and was better suited to being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Tony's story did progress slightly in that we learned that he and Pepper are back together and are engaged, but that was just a throwaway bit at the end of the movie.

I've seen that he was wandering about the dealer's room and taking pictures with other fans who had no idea who he really was under the mask. I suppose it's safe to say that he and Robert Downey Jr have probably finally actually met at this point.

ETA: also that he referred to this particular costume as "Jeanpool".:lol:

It amazes me that there are still people who cling to the belief that Tony, Talos/Nick, and Stephen had outsized roles in the Holland films.

No point in arguing the obvious when they clearly can't be convinced what is plain to the rest of us.

I didn't originally like Captain America: Civil War very much because I felt like the narrative thrust of the story was propelled more by Tony than it was by Steve.

That changed slightly after a couple of rewatches, but it's still the worst of the 3 Steve Rogers Captain America movies and still focused far more on characters other than Steve than it ought to have been.

So it's not just the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies that I dont like because I feel like they're not actually about the titular hero.

The first five seasons of AoS are still part of my headcanon, and nobody will ever take that away from me. Zarathos has possessed many people over the years, going all the way back to prehistoric times. I will grant that it was implied that it was Johnny Blaze who passed the demon on to Robbie Reyes, but it was never outright confirmed. If the movie goes with Danny Ketch, then any issues would be minimal and easily ignored.

It should be pointed out that the MCU has borrowed elements from all three of the ABC shows. The healing element of Kree blood on humans was established in Agents of SHIELD and then used in Captain Marvel, James D'arcy was established as Edwin Jarvis in Agent Carter and then used in Endgame and we know that there are variants of Anson Mount's Black Bolt from Inhumans.

Where/when did I present my point of view about the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies as fact or try to impose said point of view on other people?

People can make this argument until they're blue in the face, but it won't suddenly become true.

The Tom Holland Spider-Man movies are not about Spider-Man, and that's why they suck.
Unless the part where you said "in my opinion" or " i believe that..." is invisible

And just so you know, I actually understand WHY you would say the opinion, and i think it is valid. But it's definitely not what i believe, and my family all love the TOm Holland films so we don't share your opinion.

For me, i am used to the comics (both DC and Marvel), which were part of a greater universe and plenty of crossovers, so the "intrusions" are normal, and don't take away from the main character for me.

I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet, but Kevin Feige officially confirmed to Brandon Davis that the Nova rumors are true and that it will be a movie.

I imagine they'll be going with Sam Alexander rather than Richard Rider in order to avoid all of the "Dick Rider" jokes and memes.

The same kind of thing Adam Savage is notorious for doing at Comic Con almost every year, althoug granted Reynolds is obviously much more famous than Savage.

I agree there's an argument to be had with Civil War and I certainly can see why you don't like it happening there. It does look like the film is overwhelmed with other characters. However, I will always argue that the main thrust of Steve's story remains strong within the film, but I'll admit it's not nearly as obvious as it is in the Holland films.

Somebody should have explained to him that Ghost Rider was already in the MCU, until Agents of SHIELD was retconned out of it.
Sadly, not the first time Agents of SHIELD has been ignored in regards to first in the MCU. Shang-Chi was touted as the first Asian-American superhero when Daisy was right there this whole time.

In the ABrams Star trek movies, Google AI tells me that Pike had has 8 minutes of screen time in the first movie, and 4 minutes in the second one. But to me, at least, he was so impactful over BOTH movies, that losing him in the second movie actually felt like a gut punch, and totally believable to me to make that a very pivotal moment for Kirk. Certainly the acting of Bruce Greenwood helped sell the character. But his screentime was comparable to Stark.

Certainly Tony felt pretty darn important....moreso than his screentime should have determined. I can see both sides of the argument.

It's been delightful to see Instagram posts coming up on my feed with folks who took photos with JeanPool and didn't suspect a thing. Honestly, that's pretty cool on Reynolds' part to do.

But same time, you still can't say that the movie was "about Pike" or that he took anything away from Kirk. Like Tony / Fury / Strange, he was a supporting character in Kirk's story.

Just popped in to do some Avenger Math...

Thus far, I count 41 actors listed as Cast of Doomsday.

In order to pay them all, won't the movie need to make about 3.4 Zillion?

well it makes sense that there are 41 metahumans and mutants in avengers 5 aka avengers doomsday since theres 5 different teams in the movie

theres the og avengers the new avengers the thunderbolts x men and fantastic four

although what if there are more metahumans and mutants in the movie but only 41 of them showed up at the sdcc

Opinions can still be factually incorrect. And yours is. I've met people who are of the opinion that the moon landings didn't happen, that doesn't make their opinion valid.

Do you still try to argue with people who deny that the moonlanding didn't happen?
It's why I stopped arguing with some people on this forum. ;) ;)
I could have spend the last few hours doing that. Instead, had dinner, a nice beer, watched Brooklyn99, watched some reels. And feel relaxed. How nice is that?

Kirk is a "bad example"

The "new Kirk" was molded/ became a starship captain due to Pike, where the "old" Kirk was self made.... this actually goes in line with the argument about Tony in the Holand version is "vital" to SPiderman, vs. the other incarnations, Peter was "self made"

The Russo Brothers say, while not confirming or denying anything, that the histories of Storm, Jean and Rogue all "feed into" the Doomsday storyline "in a very meaningful way". Also, that there are still surprises forthcoming.

Marvel is notoriously tight - relatively to Hollywood salaries, some of these people will not be earning that much.

RDjr, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth are likely making as much as everyone else put together.

RDjr is likely with a backend deal making more than everyone else excluding Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth.
